Kimba Likes Borne Naked Bagvember : Day 9

Bagvember Day 9 heralds the start of my four-day weekend.  Yes, four days!  I had a fabulous function to attend today and then I’m off to Byron Bay for three days with the Gorgeous Girls.

Thanks to Mama Stylista for taking today’s outfit photos for me at the Kids Business Bloggers Brunch.

My outfit du jour is a Sportsgirl mint silk tee, ASOS floral jeans, Mimco hairclip, Sportsgirl layered resin statement necklace and my gorgeous Gorman shoes.  Of course, the star of the outfit is my Alannah Hill Awkward! tote – a gorgeously ladylike chain handled tote bag in fabulous cream leather, with the prettiest pink lining.

I had selected an Oroton bag for my Xmas wishlist a few years ago, so was quite surprised to open my present and find this Alannah Hill bag.  The Welshman decided he knew my taste better than I did – and the bugger of it is that he was right!  I’ve seen that same Oroton bag about, oh, a million times, and I’ve never seen my Awkward! Tote on any other girl’s arm.  Love that about him.  It’s the same reason he bought me my Elsa Peretti Double Open Heart bangle, which I wear every single day, because he didn’t wanted me to have something a little different than the usual Tiffany’s piece.

Who IS this crazy woman in the purple shoes?!

Oh, how I do love these lovely Gorman Racquel shoes!

So, what is this Bagvember stuff all about?

Have you heard about Borne Naked handbag liners?  I love to swap bags and I use mine all the time.

Amanda George from Borne Naked has a Handbag Blog, where she showcases everything handbags.  She’s a little bit obsessed (I know the feeling well!).

Amanda has issued a challenge for November.  Firstly, she’s nicknamed it Bagvember, and it’s all about changing handbags every day for the month of November.  Amanda thinks she probably has at least 100 bags.

I’m going to accept the challenge and change my handbag every day.  For reasons of practicality, I’m not committing to 30 handbags in 30 days, but I am committing to changing my handbag every day.

My darling 8 year old Boyo loved Frocktober and very proudly told everyone he met that his mama was doing Frocktober.  He brainstormed a pile of ideas for what I could do in November, and Bagvember was one of his ideas.  It’s fate really, isn’t it!  He also came up with Lipstickvember and Bravember and Knickervember.  Hmmmm …

Amanda will be posting pics of her daily Bagvember bag on FacebookInstagram and Pinterest.

If you feel like joining her (and me!), here’s the easy instructions of how to join in!
