Kimba Likes Borne Naked Bagvember Day 24

Bagvember Day 24 and it actually feels like it might be summer next week.  26 degrees, sunshine, and warm enough to eat a barbecue dinner al fresco in the garden.  Lovely!

The bag du jour is a toffee leather Witchery handbag.  It ticks all my boxes – softest leather, perfect length handles, front pocket – but it just doesn’t rock my world.  Sorry, lovely Witchery leather bag.  We’re just not destined to be BFFs.

Boyo and I had a day in the city today, doing Xmas and January birthday shopping for the Welshman.  To celebrate our excellent work, we had lunch at Max Brenner in Westfield Sydney.  You are looking at a Toffee Choc Frappe and a The Euphoria Banana Split Waffle Sundae.  Yes it was as decadent as it looks.  No, he didn’t manage to finish it all!

Boyo has styled himself today – he is wearing Seed shorts, Giordano Junior shirt, a tweed paperboy hat, Mambo specs and Zilch leather sandals.  Mosquito bites models’ own.

I’m participating in 7 Days of Selfies again with Alyce of Blossom Heart.  This time, it has a Thankful theme – let’s be thankful for the little things!  This is Day 3 of my 7 Days of Selfies, and today I’m thankful for an adventure with Boyo, and the summer weather springing into life – see what I did there?

So, what is this Bagvember stuff all about?

Have you heard about Borne Naked handbag liners?  I love to swap bags and I use mine all the time.

Amanda George from Borne Naked has a Handbag Blog, where she showcases everything handbags.  She’s a little bit obsessed (I know the feeling well!).

Amanda has issued a challenge for November.  Firstly, she’s nicknamed it Bagvember, and it’s all about changing handbags every day for the month of November.  Amanda thinks she probably has at least 100 bags.

I’m going to accept the challenge and change my handbag every day.  For reasons of practicality, I’m not committing to 30 handbags in 30 days, but I am committing to changing my handbag every day.

My darling 8 year old Boyo loved Frocktober and very proudly told everyone he met that his mama was doing Frocktober.  He brainstormed a pile of ideas for what I could do in November, and Bagvember was one of his ideas.  It’s fate really, isn’t it!  He also came up with Lipstickvember and Bravember and Knickervember.  Hmmmm …

Amanda will be posting pics of her daily Bagvember bag on FacebookInstagram and Pinterest.

If you feel like joining her (and me!), here’s the easy instructions of how to join in!
