I’m super excited to be working with Business Mamas as a Business Mamas Blog Ambassador.
I’m completing a Diploma of Business and working towards launching my Kimba Likes styling business.
As I’ve discussed previously, there is a level of difficulty in completing study for a business that is still in the planning stages. I’m trying to make decisions about something that isn’t operating professionally yet.
This also gives me a huge advantage. I’ve been given the amazing opportunity of designing my life. The opportunity of being able to fine tune my business idea and plans whilst I’m in the planning and launching process.
One of the things that has been a real eye opener for me whilst completing my Business Mamas study is that I’ve discovered more about how I want my life to look in the future.
Completing the Inspire Me section of my training course helped me envision my future. What exactly would my life look like once I’d completed the course and successfully launched my business. What is the plan?
I’ve come to the realisation that as much as I love making women feel better about themselves on the inside because they look better on the outside, I don’t want to be a full time fashion stylist.
I’d miss blogging too much! I’d miss you guys too much!
I love the pace of my life. Some time to study, some time to blog, and some time to look after my family.
My current lifestyle is also based around living with chronic illness. I can easily schedule the down time and rest periods I need to cope with the rest of my life. Once I’ve undergone my endometriosis removal and hysterectomy surgery at the end of October, and am fully recovered, I’m hopeful that I’ll have a lot more energy, a whole heap less pain and be able to live a fuller life. Fingers crossed!
Being able to get shiz done whilst the Blokefolk are out of the house means that our time together is about family time and spending time together, not just running errands. Call me a 50s housewife, but I love that my job enables me to do this for my family. Love it!
I love that I can be there for my son – primarily as taxi driver and snack provider and homework supervisor! As he moves into high school and into the teenage years, I think it is important to have a safe place to land and a constant presence when he needs it.
Being able to back the Welshman up from home is something that’s important to me too. We’re a team after all.
Having this time to reflect has also made me made me realise how much I love hanging out with my Kimba Likes readers on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook. How much I love researching and writing blog posts and passing on information about new products, new designs, new collections and new ways to wear our existing wardrobes. Plus all the laughs we share, and the serious stuff we talk about sometimes.
The plan I’ve come up with is two days blogging, one to two days fadmin (that’s family admin) and slotting in wardrobe consultation and personal shopping around my clients’ schedules for another one to two days a week. The beauty of this plan is that it is completely flexible. It’s about a number of hours rather than scheduled days.
I love that Business Mamas has helped me to design my own perfect life!
My priority is to recover my health and vitality post-op and learn to live a life without constant pain. It has been very difficult for me to concentrate on studying when I’m foggy from pain – or pain relief!
That’s another way that the Business Mamas ethos has worked so well with me and my health needs. I’ve been able to dial it up and get more done when I’m feeling fabulous – and take more time to complete scheduled work when I am struggling with health issues.
If you’ve been thinking about how you could fit Business Mamas study into your life, this is the best illustration of how flexible it can be.
I’m going to need to take a few weeks off at the end of October and beginning of November, but once I’m feeling fabulous, I know I’ll be able to get back on track with the support offered by the Business Mamas team.
What do you think about my plan? Sound workable to you? I’d love your feedback!
