Brown Sugar Metallic Top

Brown Sugar Metallic Top – on sale for $39.95

I simply adore this uber glam Metallic Top by Brown Sugar, for whom I’m very proud to be a Brand Ambassador.  Today I’m going to show you how to take a gorgeous glitter ball of a top and style it for breakfast at the beach.  I call it ‘casual glam’.

This glamorous top featured in my New Year’s Eve outfit planning but because it is a little bit OTT, it doesn’t get many outings.

Let’s change that up!  By adding a simple cotton printed skirt, a bright yellow casual bag, comfortable flats and dialling back the jewellery, this top went from evening to an outfit suitable for breakfast at the beach.

  • Part Two skirt – purchased in a little English village boutique in 2010
  • Brown Sugar Metallic Top – bought discounted at a blogger event
  • Mimco leather bag – thrifted
  • Mox Latte flats – purchased from the Orange Grove Markets
  • Chamilia “Family” charm on Mimco Fine chain – present to myself
  • Karen Walker Bunny earrings – holiday present

Boyo has skateboard lessons every weekend at Manly Beach – hello breakfast date for the Welshman and me!  We hit The Pantry, right on the beach.  Highly recommended.  The granola with fruit and yoghurt was delicious and so filling that I didn’t actually eat again until late afternoon.

By teaming casual silver jewellery and colourful casual accessories with the glamorous top, the outfit pulled together beautifully and worked.  I didn’t feel overdressed but I did feel like I’d made a bit of an effort.  As you do.

Have you got a really glamorous piece in your wardrobe that you can dial back with more casual pieces and rock your fashion world with your take on casual glam?  Do let me know – I’m nosy like that!

Kimba Likes Keeping It Real Policy:

As advised at the top of the post and in the title, I’m a Brand Ambassador for Brown Sugar.  Still not quite sure how I got this lucky!  This means that I will receive a small payment for this post and also free and discounted clothing.  However, I would have not signed up for this if I didn’t love the brand and the quality of their product offerings.  You can click here to read Kimba Likes Keeping It Real Policy.  You can trust Kimba Likes to keep it real.
