Boyo came home with a request from his class teacher for some ideas for Christmas craft. Never one to turn down a challenge, I hit Pinterest, that fount of wisdom, for some fabulous DIY Christmas craft for kids ideas. PS – how cute was Baby Boyo!
Christmas Craft for Kids | Elf Yourself
I found this fab idea at Art with Ms Chiddo. Simply print out a colour photo of each child, provide a pile of coloured construction paper, glue and some decorative elements, and the kids can make their very own elf! Just add cotton balls, glue, glitter, scissors and imagination.
Christmas Craft for Kids | Countdown Chain
Construction paper, staplers or sticky tape, some creative drawing skills and each kid can make their very own countdown calendar for Christmas. Just love this idea, from Lauren Makes. She has provided printables too.
Christmas Craft for Kids | DIY Snow Globes
I absolutely la la love this idea from Martha Stewart! It might be a little tricky to track down the bits and pieces to make the scene, but a trip to a $2 shop should do the trick. Add a jar for each kid, epoxy glue, some silver glitter for snow, water and a little glycerin to slow down the glitter and it’s Christmas creativity at its best.
Christmas Craft for Kids | Snow Globe Ornaments
For a non-breakable snow globe, try this Christmas ornament from Ugga Mugga that won’t cut anyone if it accidentally gets broken!
Clear plastic cups, plastic plates, doilies, cotton wool, glue and some suitable ornaments are all you need..
Christmas Craft for Kids | Angry Bird Baubles
How cool are these! Such a simple idea from Double Treble Craft Adventures. Christmas baubles, glue, yellow and black felt and scissors to cut the shapes. Couldn’t be easier!
