Kimba Likes City Chic Activewear - wearing activewear designed for curves

Super duper excited about sharing my latest collaboration with you.  I’ve teamed up with City Chic to showcase their City Chic Activewear range, with the lovely Sarah from She Writes.

All about City Chic Activewear

Especially designed for 14+ curves, the City Chic Activewear range has you covered for options.  Choose from three leg lengths of sport leggings, two underwire sports bras, crop tops, tanks, active tees, hoodies and performance jackets.

Sarah and I both independently selected the same items.  It just seemed the perfect opportunity to get together, and put our City Chic activewear through its paces.  Stretches, powerwalking, jogging, stair climbs and that all important activewear essential – coffee with the girls.

City Chic Activewear | my review

The Full Length Sport Leggings feature a compression fit and inside drawstring for a great fit, whilst remaining smooth and sleek.  I’m also planning to wear them in winter, layered under knits and tunics.

I have to confess they were a little bit hot for a very humid Sydney summer’s day in February – but I would have felt the heat wearing shorts on that particular day!

The Underwire Sports Bra was super comfortable.  I’ve actually worn it since under a high necked silk tank.  Convertible straps and breathable fabric make it even more versatile.

In these photos, I’ve layered it underneath a sports top from Lululemon.  I’ve felt uncomfortable wearing it before as I felt a bit Titsiana Booberini.  The Underwire Sports Bra is perfect to layer underneath, or even wear on its own, as it wears like a bra but looks like an exercise crop top.

My favourite thing about the Performance Jacket is the gorgeous neon coral colour City Chic call Paradise – isn’t that fab!

Featuring a collar that can be worn two ways, mesh shoulder panels and underarms for increased breathability, this jacket will be great to chuck on when I’m heading out to exercise, and super cute worn sports luxe style over a bodycon tank dress and hi tops.

Sarah and I felt super cute and comfortable running errands like picking up parcels from the post office, and hitting the supermarket, as well as the all important Ladies Who Lunch in Activewear coffee.

Have you tried City Chic Activewear? What’s your favourite piece? Have you too got a fit friend who makes you feel like you need to step it up?
