Currently Crushing On Pretty

There’s a lot of ugly things in the world. I’m heartsick over all sorts of things. So I’m busting a little escape.  An escape to pretty.

I’m sharing some prettily pretty prettiness that I’m currently crushing on.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

Sally Hansen^ is cheap as chips, found in supermarkets (hello grocery budget!) and truly fabulous! I love my boutique nail brands but I often find myself reaching for my Sally Hansen.  When I’m in a hurry, I really love my Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure.  Two quick coats from a huge range of colours and I’m good to go for a few days.  A miracle for my weak as shiz nails. Sara Happ The Lip Slip

I treated myself to Sara Happ The Lip Slip from Beauty Bay^ when they had a fab Christmas sale.  I have to say that I’d buy it again at full price.  Yep, I’d pay retail.  I know right? $32 for a lip balm.  This luxe elegant lip balm gives me soft, smooth lips with long lasting moisturising benefits.  Plus it has the added benefit of making me feel like a princess.  It is the perfect nude lip look too.  Couldn’t love it more.  And how pretty is the packaging? Kmart Ceramic Milk Bottles

Are you on the Kmart Love Train? Oh my goodness. I bought the world’s best swimmers there as a holiday emergency recently. A fabulous cornflower blue, with amazingly flattering shaped straps, ruched front and power mesh.  For $25 full price.  I know! I popped in yesterday just to check out the gorgeous new range of home decor.  Dear gods.  Amazing value for tiny prices!  I couldn’t resist stocking up on the bright blue wire baskets (destined for my launtry / pandry storage shelves) and of course I couldn’t say no to a beautiful ceramic bunny for a whole $9.

But the winner for me was a chicken wire rack with three beautiful ceramic bottles in musk pink, creamy white and teal for $12. I found one that someone naughty had, ahem, rearranged – they obviously weren’t a fan of pink.  I have two pink and one cream. I’ve been on the lookout for a while to find some gorgeous milk bottles for my Grandma’s vintage milk bottle basket.  It might seem silly but I think it’s honouring the past.

I popped the remaining bottle on my kitchen bench in the little wire basket and found a home for my Kiwiana milkshake container and my beloved Typo Soda Pop bottle.

Kmart don’t do online shopping (please Kmart, please!) for clothes but they’re fully on board for homewares.  YAY!  Click here to shop Kmart Ceramic Milk Bottles | Click here to shop Typo Soda Pop Bottles | Click here to shop Mr Vintage The Longest Drink in Town cup
