The lovely Sonia, one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever seen, is as gorgeous on the inside as the outside. She gave me a fabulous gift for my Big Four Oh My Gods, a Down That Little Lane voucher. Bless her little sparkly socks. I’ll let Sonia, my Guest Post Guest Star, take over from here!
As you probably know, being an avid reader of this fabulous blog, Kimba recently turned the “Big Four Oh My Gods” (Kimba Speak for “40”). To celebrate, I gave Kimba the gift of “free shopping” – which is Sonia Speak for a voucher – for the gorgeous online store, Down That Little Lane.
Down That Little Lane has such been a treasure trove for me lately. I’ve managed to buy gifts for birthdays, gifts for new babies and even some fantastic items to decorate our home.
Kimba being Kimba, I thought she would have absolutely no problems spending my voucher and that I’d be getting a tweet saying she’d already picked out her perfect item five minutes after receiving it (or thereabouts).
But how wrong I was!
It seems “free shopping” got the better of Kimba and the endless options Down That Little Lane had to offer were just too much for the Birthday Girl. Friends help friends in need, right? So that’s why I’m here – to save the shopping day!
I’ve had a wander Down That Little Lane and here are my favourite items that I think Kimba could choose from…
1. Ink & Stitch Sparrow Tote ($36.00)
2. The Teeny Rabbit Aqua Cake Stand ($49.95)
4. Voyager ‘Belleville’ Candle ($49.00)
5. I Spy Homewares Jewellery Organiser ($49.00)
6. Wallstudio Miss D Limited Edition Print ($42.00)
I hope I’ve helped you, Kimba! Happy shopping. Sonia x
Wow! Sonia knows me better than I know myself! Didn’t she pick some absolutely gorgeous pieces. I really did surprise myself with my gift vouchers I received for my birthday. Usually, I’m a yes, no, love this type of shopper, but I turned into the worst sort of ditherer, unable to make any decisions at all!
I simply adore the sparrow tote, but have recently just received several bags for my birthday. The little earrings are adorable, but as I received five pairs for my birthday, I think I’m good for a while! I adore the candle – the reusable double walled glass is brilliant – but my candle collection is already breeding overnight. The jewellery organiser is very Kimba – so much so that I have two very similar ones already. I’m not saying I couldn’t use another one though!
The selections made by Sonia that appealed to me the most was the gorgeous print and the cake dome in gorgeous “vintaged” aqua. However, I thought I should consider the blokefolk, who already live in a very Kimba-fied house, so I selected a more neutral family oriented print. In the end, I went with a little glass bird cake dome, as the aqua one was out of stock. It is firmly on my wishlist though – after all, Xmas isn’t that far away!
