Festival of Kimba Gorman Style
You know you’ve raised your kid right, when they give you a cheeky birthday card that makes you laugh and laugh and laugh … and on the inside, it says that he was just kidding and how much he loves his beautiful mama.
I got very spoilt for the Festival of Kimba, Edition 44, and I got pranked too! I opened a Tiffany’s bag with Marc Jacobs Jolly Molly lipstick and Divine Decadence perfume inside. Prank number one.
I guessed that the Pandora bag was a similar trick but it contained a gorgeous Disney Pandora bead. Prank number two.
I opened some more gorgeous presents – Gorman, handmade chocolates, Mickey Mouse cap, FCUK cute accessories, rainbow cushion and lovely bits and pieces. Then I opened another little present which contained a beautiful Tiffany & Co silver ring of linked eternity symbols, to match the bracelet the Blokefolk gave me for the Festival of Kimba, Edition 43. Prank number three.
What can I say? #lifewithboys
On my birthday morning, after my breakfast in bed, (and driving Boyo to his before school group because Mama Life doesn’t stop even on your birthday), I got dressed in my birthday Gorman and went to shop with my Gorman birthday discount voucher. Love a Festival of Kimba Gorman style!
Festival of Kimba Gorman style | Mr Wong
I wore the gorgeous Best Buds Tie Dress from the new Monika Forsberg collaboration to have lunch with the Welshman at the fabulous Mr Wong.
It is my first Gorman Tie Dress and it won’t be my last. Love the versatility. It can be reversed, and the ties add to the options. I’ve tied them crossed and tied at the back.
I kept myself warm and snuggly with navy opaque tights, Fefi Planet Shoes ankle boots and black Bella Bodies long sleeved Camyz. I added some fun to my look with matchy matchy Best Buds earrings and hairbow and my Marc Jacobs lippy. I added some fun to my belly with delicious Cantonese treats! Oh and rather a lot of Louis Roederer. Cheers!
Festival of Kimba Gorman style | Gunners Barracks Tea Room
The Blokefolk treated me to a Festival of Kimba high tea at the delightful Gunners Barracks Tea Room, overlooking Sydney Harbour.
Of course I had to wear my Gorman birthday present! The Oui Non classic Gorman dress has been updated with Monika Forsberg music notes. It’s the loveliest swing dress.
Please do check them out, especially if you love a bit of matchy matchy. They’re #mismatchedonpurpose and man, do I love that. Plus you can get a pair for you and a pair for your kid and go full matchy matchy mama! Oh, and if you sign up for their Birthday Club, you can get 15% off your first order. And did I mention Afterpay?
I do so love Festival of Kimba! This year’s edition is done and dusted but the memories will last.
You know what else I love? Love. And human rights. And equality. I think it is absolutely disgraceful that Australia does not already have marriage equality. I loathe that Australia is being asked to vote on the basic human right of being able to marry the one you love.
Please vote yes.
