Frocktober 2016 | week 2
The weather for week 2 of Frocktober 2016 has varied from hot sun to cool rain and everything in between!
Thank you to all the gorgeous people who have made a donation. I’m less than $50 away from my target so please feel free to help me out!
Now, let’s have a little tour through week 2 of Frocktober 2016!
Frocktober 2016 wearing Three Parsons
For a trip to the movies with the Blokefolk, I teamed my Three Parsons draped dress with polkadot chambray kicks from Target and the gorgeous Indigo Leopard scarf from Ruby & Lilli.
Frocktober 2016 wearing J Crew
We headed over to the new inner west sensation, Tramsheds at Harold Park, for a little looksee. Heads up – it’s a super fun hipster haven destination. If, like me, you are lactose intolerant, you will love the CocoWhip at Fish & Co. Not only lactose free, but dairy free, gluten free and vegan, and absolutely scrumptious to boot.
I wore a J Crew striped T shirt dress, thrifted from Vinnies, with H&M jeggings and Seed rose gold kicks.
Frocktober 2016 wearing Shabby Sisters
Day 10 of Frocktober was not only 33 degrees, but the first day of Term 4 for Boyo, and I celebrated in style by attending a fabulous event for INIKA Organic cosmetics. I received a gorgeous selection of products, and have incorporated them into my daily makeup routine. More to come on the blog soon!
I teamed my beautiful INIKA made up face with a Shabby Sisters maxi and cute as a button FRANKiE4 sandals.
I teamed a classic chic Rockmans denim shirt dress with a shot of fun in the form of my Sussan yellow belt and Adidas Superstars. I’ve been loving the look for a while, so imagine my delight when I found a brand new still in the box pair sitting on the shelf of my local op shop! Thank you Red Cross!
Love the heck out of this super cute Cos swing dress! The dress was thrifted from Red Cross, and I teamed it with kindly gifted Bella Bodies Camyz Leggings, my Superstars, Gorman sunnies and Ruby Olive green earrings.
Frocktober 2016 wearing City Chic
The star of today’s outfit is the teensy little heart necklace you can almost nearly see. It was the first gift the Welshman gave me, way back in 1999, and I loved it. I had temporarily mislaid it – by putting it somewhere really safe, obvs – and was so excited when I discovered it tucked inside my wallet. Why? I don’t know either!
When we got engaged and I got my ring appraised for insurance purposes, the Welshman suggested I add my necklace too. I was a bit surprised when my lovely silver plated cubic zirconia necklace turned out to be a pavé diamond white gold pendant on a platinum chain. Why didn’t he tell me? Because he was so charmed at how much I loved my little trinket.
I think the City Chic retrocute frock I’ve teamed with a Miss Sixty denim jacket is also a bit of star too, just quietly. The dress was thrifted from my local Vinnies, and the jacket from my local Red Cross. My little leather Ziera kicks complete the tough pretty look.
Frocktober 2016 wearing Gorman
Look, I love Gorman. I really do. But unfortunately, they’re not really designed for size 14 EnormoBoobs girls. I made this fabulous Gorman silk wrap dress work for me by layering it over a Metalicus bodycon knit dress. Two pieces that I wouldn’t wear on their own combined beautifully. The dress arrived from a Gorman Buy Sell Swap Facebook group still with tags on.
I added Next black leather cut out brogues and pair of tights that got chucked in the bin when I got home. I’ve got enough baggy saggy bits without my tights contributing, thank you very much!
Whew! Week Two done, dusted and dissected. Which look would I find hanging in your wardrobe? Any pieces you want to steal or think should go the way of the terrible tights? Found any awesome thrifts lately?
