Frocktober Day 14 and Kimba Likes Leona Week Day 7

A rare opportunity to wear green and red together without looking like an Xmas tree on Day 14 of Frocktober and Day  7 of Kimba Likes Leona Week.  Yay for me – I did it!  A whole week of wearing Leona Edmiston every single day for Kimba Likes Leona Week.  Truth be told, I’ve still got a few Leona Edmiston party frocks and a few more work frocks tucked away in my wardrobe, so there might be another Leona dress making a guest star appearance later on in Frocktober.

Boyo and I got up early this Sunday morning and enjoyed some sofa snuggles, before we got inspired and decided to not only make pancakes, but make the Welshman breakfast in bed.  I know, right.  Such a domestic goddess.

Next on the Sunday Funday agenda was a bike ride at Bicentennial Park, at the Olympic venue.  We cycled to the Shipwreck Lookout and were contemplating another destination, when the sky suddenly turned grey and the rain started.  Hmmm, so much for late coastal showers, as predicted.  We put the pedals to the metal and zoomed back to the car, just in time to miss the deluge.  Well, the Welshman might have missed a little less of it than us, as he was wedging three bikes into the back of the car!

Frocktober is making weekend casual dressing a little trickier, when it comes to bike rides, not to mention staying warm, but I think I managed to pull it off today.  I’ve teamed a really pretty Leona Edmiston Leona dress with Leona Edmiston Pins in a coordinating (but hopefully not matchy matchy) lace edged footless tights, and added a Country Road blue woollen cropped cardigan.  I’ve popped a gorgeous studded tan leather bag in Betsey Bicycle’s basket, and my cream Camper loafers are perfect for a spot of bike riding.

My jewellery is the usual suspects today – my pave diamond heart, my wedding rings, Elsa Peretti for Tiffany heart bangle and Tiffany heart earrings, and my Skagen stainless steel watch.  A Mimco bejewelled bow is doing its utmost to rescue me from helmet hair.  Loving that I can disguise my new multifocal-wearing old person status by pretending that I’m just rocking classic Rayban Wayfarers.

Boyo exploring a shipwreck, in the midst of an amazing imaginary tale involving sharks and shipwrecks and storms  – look at those big dark clouds rolling in!

On Sunday, or Day 14 of Frocktober and Day 7 of Kimba Likes Leona Week, as it is known in this house, we made the Welshman breakfast in bed and went for a family bike ride in the rain, then feasted on coffee, hot chocolate and sausage rolls from Adriano Zumbo for lunch.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the rain holds off because we’re planning a barbecue dinner.  I’m still rocking my frock and raising money for the  Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

You can check out my Everyday Hero Kimba Likes fundraising page, which is tracking my efforts to reach my fundraising goal of $500.  Thank you so much to the gorgeous and generous souls who have made a contribution.  Love your work!
