Sydney is playing her weather tricks again today for Frocktober Day 25. It was supposed to be 33 degrees today and it may well have been that, somewhere in a little protected corner, but in the city windtunnels, it was decidedly colder. In my Arctic office, I had to put the heater on. Bare legs, as it turned out, was not my smartest idea this morning.
Yes, you guessed it. This is another Leona Edmiston Frock. It was found in Rozelle Red Cross this week. It is a little bit too big, but it just makes the dress a little more blouson in style. I’ve added a Metalicus red elastic belt to define my waist. The great thing about elastic belts is their waist defining ability. The bad thing about elastic belts is that hips suddenly appear, as if by magic!
My second mistake of the morning was selecting a Sussan long tank top to wear underneath the dress instead of a knee length slip. The tank top started the day off the perfect length, but this didn’t last long. Throw in a wrap dress and a bit of wind, and walking whilst not flashing was the challenge of the day.
I’m so glad I was too lazy to hang up my Carla Zampatti blazer yesterday because at the last minute I grabbed it off the dining chair and decided to take it, just in case. As I was too lazy to paint my toenails, I’m rocking these fabulous thrifted golden-beige leather flatforms. Continuing with the lazy theme is this red hairbow which, coupled with a squirt of two of dry shampoo and a good go with my boar bristle brush, saved me from having to wash and style my hair today.
Today’s makeup is my Pop of Pink for Shop Me Chic’s Pink Ribbon Week. Follow the fun on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #AChicPinkRibbonWeek. I’m wearing a pink glittery Napoleon Perdis lip gloss and pink eyeshadow from this fabulous gift with purchase currently on at David Jones. Keep an eye out for my review post next week!
I’ve also added my pink resin ring from one of my favourite places on the earth – the V&A. The Victoria and Albert Museum is, as they say themselves, “the world’s greatest museum of art and design”. Or, as I like to call it, “my happy place”. It is situated in London, one of the destinations I just love returning to over and over again.
Day 25 of Frocktober and it is another gorgeous op shopped Leona Edmiston frock, as I rock my frocks raising money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
You can check out my Everyday Hero Kimba Likes fundraising page, which is tracking my efforts to reach my fundraising goal of $500. Thank you so much to the gorgeous and generous souls who have made a contribution. Only $125 to go. I’m unbelievably grateful. Love your work!
