After Frocktober it is all about wearing pants!

all about wearing pants!

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2017 | wearing Gorman

The one thing I look forward to most in November? Wearing pants!  It is all about wearing pants after Frocktober.  That’s 31 frocks in 31 days to raise money for OCRF.  I do love a good frock but the lure of the forbidden is hard to resist!

This “vintage” Gorman maxi dress in Dreamtime print was the most popular frock of the month. It made The Thrifted Redhead happy too, as it was a preloved eBay find.

After a week of wearing pants, I think I’m just about ready to wear a frock again!

Check out my week of wearing pants!

linen luxe

Feeling terribly grown up in Gorman linen pants for the first day of my week of wearing pants.  I’ve teamed them with Fred Fowler x Gorman T shirt, DKNY denim jacket from my Big Four Oh My Gods trip to LA, Ziera leopard sandals, Trenery leopard belt and Yoke Designs snake earrings.

My favourite accessory du jour? My pony! I wanted a ponytail to survive what is supposed to be an extremely hot and humid Sydney summer.  It arrived just in time.

spotty dotty

Tired and sore so it had to be a pair of leggings.  Nothing better.  These are from the Pantone x Gorman collaboration, and I’ve teamed them with Seed rose gold kicks and Ruby & Lilli swing dress.

Matchy matchy print clash action!  I don’t know if it is a thing but it should be

I’ve matched my Monika Forsberg x Gorman hairbow and top in Birdwatching print, and print clashed with check Target pants, thrifted from Rozelle Collectors Market.  I’ve added Ziera sandals (super excited to have found navy sandals that don’t look like I stole them from a very unstylish grandmother) and Jacqui E bolero.  Click here for more chic coverups

matchy matchy print clash

Went for a walk in the rain with the Welshman; the perfect excuse to wear one of my Gorman raincoats.  The best $99 you’ll ever spend on yourself!

I’ve been waiting to wear my Kmart embroidered jeans.  I sized up for a boyfriend fit.  Matchy matchy Gorman Supermoon hairbow and sweater, and fun print clash with my Dana Kinter x Gorman Buff Tailed Thornbill raincoat and striped bow kicks from FCUK.

double denim

Absolutely in love with my spotty dotty zoot suit! Such fun! It’s the Gorman New Moon denim pantsuit and I’ve teamed it with Gorman Sunday denim flats, Minnie Mouse bandana worn as a hairbow from Daiso and Yippywhippy Feminist heart dangles.

trust me, I’m wearing pants

You’ll have to take my word for it, but this outfit does feature pants! Country Road mens skinny denim joggers to be precise.

I bought them for my teenage son, who just rolled his eyes and said “Mum. No.”  If he’d found them himself, he would have loved them!

I decided they were the perfect loose fit casj pants for me so win win!

I teamed them with a fave band tee from the Foo Fighters recent tour, 17 Sundays bomber and Mireia Ruiz x Gorman hairbow.

down the rabbit hole

For a day spent doing laundry, running errands and eBaying, I needed something comfy.  My Kmart chambray joggers and Big W Alice in Wonderland T shirt combo was just the ticket.  Added my new-to-me Atelier Bingo x Gorman sandals in Art de Crayon print and my fab new Yippywhippy Feminist earrings.

I think I might wear a dress tomorrow!
