I’m so glad to finally get to bring you my wrap up of my HoMedics Newa Skin Rejuvenation System trial. Unfortunately, it got caught up in the hideous drama llama associated with my site rebuild.
Firstly, let me get you up to speed. HoMedics Newa is a beauty device that decreases wrinkles by signficantly boosting your skin’s collagen production.
3DEEP radio frequency technology boosts collagen production, and therefore the appearance of wrinkles, tone and texture of skin, by transmitting thermal energy into the deep layers of the skin.

HoMedics Newa | before
HoMedics Newa works on the areas of the face that are mostly affected by collagen. Such as the upper cheeks, the lower cheeks and under the chin.
It will not work on crows feet near the eyes, the forehead or the neck. These areas contain little collagen, and are also the areas I feel require most love on my face. Ie, where I spot the most wrinkles and lines and signs of ageing.
HoMedics Newa | mid way
After using the HoMedics Newa for about two weeks, five times a week for 24 minutes, I noticed that my skin was improved. My jawline was a little more taut. My cheeks were fuller. Skincare products were more easily applied to my skin.
HoMedics Newa | initial treatment complete
After I completed the initial treatment of four weeks, I then used the HoMedics Newa twice a week, again for 24 minutes. I will continue to use it twice a week until I’ve completed 12 weeks of treatment.
The advice is that my skin will continue to improve for up to six months, following the initial 12 week treatment, as new, healthy collagen is formed.
HoMedics Newa | what I think
I’m not able to measure the percentage of wrinkle reduction, but I can attest to the fact that my skin looks fuller, feels smoother and skincare products are absorbed more easily. My jawline appears more taut too.
My major area of concern when it comes to skin ageing is my hormonal hyperpigmentation, and the grumpy face creases between my eyebrows. The Homedics Newa cannot help with these areas. It can help with the chin and jawline though – another area of concern on my face.
If you are interested in improving the look and feel of your skin, and the majority of your concerns are on the cheek and under chin areas of your face, then you might consider the HoMedics Newa. At $499 plus $59 for additional tubes of Newa Activator Gel, the price compares well to a series of RF treatments at a medi clinic.
It would be particularly useful for someone who would prefer home treatment; no childcare issues, for example! Time is also a factor – I did find that 24 minutes five times a week for four weeks was a little taxing. Once I learnt to relax and use this as relaxation time with a cup of tea and my Kindle at hand, I found it more enjoyable. 24 minutes is a long time to sit still!
However, this compares favourably to driving to and from a clinic for a session.
What do you think about my results? Would you try the HoMedics Newa or a clinic treatment?
