Want a sneak peek into some of my latest style and beauty favourites? I do hope the answer is yes, because here they are! Fabulously modelled by yours truly. Well, as worn by me anyway.
Hound + The Hare topknots
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Descanso
I totes adore a hairbow. Wire twist headbands, vintage scarves tied as a hairbow, and decorated headbands are my go to for bad hair days. I’ve fallen hard for Hound + The Hare topknots (that’s hairbow in Kimba). Organic cotton jersey in an array of fabulous patterns, they also keep my ears nice and toasty in winter! It’s all about the perfect creamily opaque yet satiny smooth formulation, in a coral nude. Unfortunately, it’s a limited edition so I’m trying to track it down as we speak! Click to shop NARS Satin Lip Pencils
Mix Apparel Zip Front Poncho $19 on sale
La la love this fabulous pleather-trimmed zipper-detailed chunky rib knit from the supermarket – love that! Currently on sale to $19. Bargain!
Mix Apparel call it a poncho – it feels more like a cape to me. It’s so easy to wear and ridiculously snuggly. It’s also perfect for Style it Project, don’t you think? Click to shop Mix Apparel poncho
Blush & Co The Blush Connection necklace $64
Such a pretty, sparkly piece with mixed metals, rose gold and onyx beads. It sits perfectly on my decolletage, and looks just as good with a plain T shirt as it would with an evening gown. It’s totes rocking my moto style cardigan-jacket (cacket? jackigan?) and midi skirt combo. click to shop Blush & Co
Metalicus Chevron Midi Skirt sold out
The colour! The pattern! The pockets! The heavy fabric! Totes in love with this skirt which I picked up on sale for under $50. Love when Metalicus just decide to take 40% off their sale stock, don’t you? That’s more than $100 off. Sadly, it’s sold out now.
The midi length is surprisingly flattering, and the heavy quality of the fabric means it sits and moves beautifully. The gorgeous green colour with the fabulous chevron pattern just makes it even betterer. Oh, and did I mention? It has pockets!
I’m really enjoying my hair at the moment. I’ve got just enough length to play with it, but it’s short enough that it’s easy to wear out and curly.
I tried a new ‘do and I was pretty happy with it for a first attempt! I pulled the front into a mini quiff, and then plaited the centre, pinning it into place. Then I side braided the equal side sections and pinned them into place, before gathering the remainder into a teensy ponytail. Et voila, a fun new ‘do!
New hair yeah yeah
Stevie English Salon has changed their hair colour products, so my hair colour changed. My usual copper red with blonde foils is now an even brighter red. For a fun twist, the blonde foils from my last hair refresh picked up the red colour. The blonde highlights pop even more against the copper base.
My colour? It has all sorts of numbers, but that’s not how I roll. I call it copper with rose gold salted caramel highlights. As you do.
Three Parsons Multi Scarf sold out
This scarf! It’s a fabulous print clash in one piece, and the colours? Oh the colours! Plus, you know, tassels! I’m a founding member of the Tassel Appreciation Society. Sorry, it’s sold out. But you can see why! click to shop Three Parsons
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon $38
Anastasia Beverly Hills Auburn Brow Wiz $38 and Perfect Brow Pencil $39
I received my latest Mecca Cosmetica Beauty Loop box and swooped on the gorgeousness that is Hourglass Cosmetics Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick. A velvety matte look that lasts all day long, and pigment to die for. This colour is called Icon. As it damn well should be.
Whilst I adore my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, it is more of a statement brow look. It is also perfect for filling in gappy brows. Now that my brows have filled out a little more, I’ve switched to brow pencils. They give a more subtle look for day to day wear.
I’m such a beauty junkie that I like to layer my skincare products, wear two mascaras for really luscious lashes, and I tag team my brow pencils. The Brow Wiz is an ultra slim brow crayon and fills in sparse areas brilliantly. The Perfect Brow Pencil is a cream on application that transforms into a powder finish. Both products are double ended – colour one end, and a spooly brush the other. Best of all? The colour range! I’m not a big matchy matchy fan, but I’m really loving the auburn brow with the copper hair!
Have you treated yourself to anything fabulously style and beauty recently? What’s your favourite new piece?
