Sponsored Post | Logitech Case+ Review and Giveaway

Logitech Case+

This is a sponsored post for Logitech case+

I’m addicted to my iPhone.  It is the first thing I reach for in the morning.  How else would I know what time it is?  I like to check my emails, my calendar, my Ta Da List (so much more fun than a To Do List, don’t you think?) and the day’s weather.  Of course, there’s Instagram and the rest of the social media socialite rounds to be done.

When I was given the opportunity to trial a new range of accessories for my iPhone, I was delighted.  After all, my tech BFF needs a new frock every  now and then too, don’t you think?

The Logitech case+ range consists of a metallic backed slim case with added protection and comes with various attachments to make life easier.

Logitech case+ | The Products

case+

A metallic backed slim iPhone case with added protection.  It has a raised edge to protect the screen and is made of soft touch polycarbonate, making it both light and durable.

case+drive

A car mount to enable you to safely mount your phone whilst driving.  As the mount is magnetic, your phone just snaps on easily without any drama and fiddling with an adjustable cradle.  The suction mount locks to your screen with a single twist action.  It’s just as easy to remove.  It also comes with a handy magnetic mount so other devices can use the +drive mount.

case+energy

A snap on rechargeable battery pack to recharge your phone on the go.

case+tilt

A little magnetic foldable stand which doubles as a backing cover and earbud wrap.

Logitech case+ | My Review

case+

As a girl who likes pretty, whimsical cases, the sleek metal and polycarbonate case isn’t immediately appealing.  As a girl who is a world famous klutz and who has dropped her phone three times in a week, the appeal of the case+ made itself known.  Best case ever!  Oh, and I’ve fixed the girly aspect too, with a stick on crystal heart on the Home button.  Order.  Restored.

case+drive

I always, always pop my phone on a stand in the car.  It takes me ages to get it settled in properly and it often falls off the windscreen.  Why do I bother? Because I always forget to charge my phone and that 15-20 minutes zipping between errands is enough to top the battery up, with a USB charger.

I drove across town to have lunch with a friend recently, relying on my driving directions app to get me there.  Every time I went around a corner, the stand swung around.  I’m lucky I got there at all!

The +drive may just be my phone’s new BFF – oh and mine too.  Not only does it attach securely to my windscreen, but it is so easy to snap my phone on and snap it off again.  Driving directions when you can actually hear and see where you’re going cannot be underestimated.

case+energy

For a girl who is always running desperately low on battery power, the +energy is a lifesaver.  It charges via a micro USB and has an LED display indicating how much battery power is available.

It is only available for the iPhone 5.  Simply slide the phone onto the inbuilt lightning charger on the +energy, click the battery on securely and hit the button to recharge your phone.  Next time you’re near a USB charger, just recharge your battery so you don’t get caught out again.

Although it is as light and sleek as it can possibly be for a super powered lithium battery that holds 150% of the iPhone battery capacity, it is a little chunky when attached to the phone for girl-sized hands.  I carry mine in a super cute Mimco iPhone pouch.  Protected and pretty.

case+tilt

The +tilt is like a mini version of an iPad cover, except the +tilt goes on the back of the case+.  The +drive works perfectly with the +tilt attached.  Apparently it also sticks to your fridge, something I was unable to test as the front of my fridge is non-magnetic.  The only thing that is attracted to it is fingerprints.

It is a very cute little tech accessory, especially in the pretty pink colour I received.  I trialled using it when I was backing up my phone, and when I was selecting photos for editing.  Another great way the +tilt can be used is as an earbud cord wrap.  Not quite as effective for my ginormous Marc Jacobs headphones though – surely I’m not the only one whose ears are too small for earbuds?  A brilliant solution if you don’t have freak of nature tiny ear canals though.

It is incredibly easy to use but I wasn’t sure it was particularly useful for my lifestyle and the way I use my phone.  I imagine that if I was in the habit of watching a lot of YouTube or vlogs, that it would prove invaluable.

As I don’t tend to fire on all cylinders in the morning, it took me a little while to figure out the perfect use for it.  Makeup Utopia’s Express Makeup eBook is now much easier to access on my iPhone with the addition of the +tilt.  No need to prop my phone up as the stand does a much better job – and looks much prettier.  It now lives in my bathroom as an integral part of my daily makeup routine.

Logitech case+ | My favourite

As part of this trial and review, Logitech asked me to nominate the product that was most beneficial to me and my lifestyle.

Whilst the +tilt is a lovely little product, it isn’t essential to my life.  I can cope without it.

Now comes the hard fought battle between the +drive and +energy for the title of Kimba Likes Favourite.

Oooh, I’m either very, very good at decisions.  Or very, very bad.  This is going to be difficult.

When I’m out for the whole day, travelling by foot and public transport and checking email, photographing, taking notes and being a social media socialite – in other words a blogger – then +energy is the clear winner.

However, when I’ve got a busy day, in and out of the car, running errands, attending meetings, doing the fadmin (family admin but doesn’t fadmin sound better?), then +drive takes the title.  I can get driving directions, take hands free phone calls and charge my phone, using a separate USB charger, at the same time.

So the clear winner is … um, goodness me, OK.  I’m going to woman up and make a decision.  I’m going to go with the +energy because it is more likely that I will run out of battery than need to use my driving directions app.  But it was a decision I agonised over.
