Week 9 of 2016 (and Week 5 of school!) and it was all about not melting in the insane heat and humidity, being a mama and friend, and spending a super duper busy market prep weekend at home.
my week in photos | good hair day
You know some days you just don’t do anything to your hair and it just rocks? No, me neither. It hardly ever happens, right? Except when it does.
Oh, I do love a good hair day!
my week in photos | cheers
Mid week, I had a school information evening to attend. Man, I love high school. Not only are the kids treated as though they are responsible individuals but so are the parents!
Plus I got reacquainted with an old work colleague – our babies grew up and both started the same high school.
When I got home, the Blokefolk presented me with a cocktail. Hello lover! Similar to last week’s version, except with fresh mint instead of fresh basil. Yum!
my week in photos | coffee and a catchup
I reconnected with a much loved family friend during the week. Coffee at Penny Lane is always my favourite Kimba Likes Daily Treats pick me up. But everything is even more awesome when it’s with friends.
my week in photos | kermit
As Kermit says, “life’s not easy bein’ green”. But nothing is easier than throwing on my chic green Eb & Ive kaftan and my beloved seafoam green Mimco sunglasses on meltingly sticky day. The trees (and even the rubbish bin!) came to the green party.
This was my most popular #everydaystyle outfit photo of last week.
my week in photos | twirl it girl
This girlie cannot resist a twirly whirl! I’ve been meaning to snap a photo in front of this fabulous rusted door forever, but as I was driving Boyo the other morning, I pulled over, handed him my phone and crossed my fingers. The owner, a Sydney radio and TV celeb, came out of his house as we were finishing up.
Dear gods, I do hope he didn’t think we were deranged fangirl and fanboy stalkers!
my week in photos | domestic goddess
After spending almost the entire weekend trawling through the various boxes, bags and suitcases in which I’ve been storing the clothes, shoes, bags and accessories that I’ve been culling, I escaped the house for the supermarket. I know right. The glamour!
I needed new price tags to continue the never ending job of sorting, hanging and pricing all my goodies for the upcoming Round She Goes markets on 12 March at the Marrickville Town Hall. 10 am to 3pm and $2 entry at the door. Come and see me!
I wound up with far more stock that I’m going to need, so I’ve decided to have a Rozelle Collectors Market stall on the following Sunday 20 March. Anything left after all that market stalling is being donated to the local op shops!
As my nearest supermarket is located at an outlet centre, I accidentally slipped and fell on my credit card and bought a gorgeous pair of Witchery leopard leather shoes. Oops!
my week in photos | matchy matchy
I’m getting a little bit obsessed with matchy matchy lately. I don’t know who I am either.
First up, I matched my green eyes to my green garden. Wearing my Kimba maxi dress from Feather & Noise also means I matched my name to my frock! Love that. Thanks to Sara from Kid Magazine for pointing that out for me.
my week in photos | Ruby & Lilli AW16
During the week, I got to check out the edited photos for the new Ruby & Lilli AW16 collection. So nice to see what I look like sans bruises and with smoother skin. Not too much photoshopping though – those curves are exactly how they appear every single day!
The collection launches tomorrow. Woohoo!
I hope your week was super duper awesome, ladybugs!
