For the remainder of winter, the Style it Project pieces are a sleeveless knit and a blanket cape / poncho. For lucky ladies in warmer weather, just style your sleeveless knit over a long sleeve T shirt; or add a blanket cape or poncho to a light knit. For those in cooler weather, both these pieces layer beautifully together, and under and over other warmer knit pieces.
My hero pieces for July and August are the Harper Turtle Neck and the Bria Tassel Poncho. The Bria is now out of stock. Run don’t walk to nab the last couple of Harpers in Khaki – now on sale to only $30! If you’ve not discovered Feather & Noise yet, go and visit. Say hi from me! It’s the place to create your perfect casual chic capsule wardrobe.
I teamed my Feather & Noise Harper knit with an H&M striped top, Katies Super Shaper skinnies in Black, and tan ankle boots from Spend-less Shoes.
A cape takes many forms. Here my Seed tartan coat has morphed into a totes plaid is rad cape.
A school holiday mall trip is not complete without visiting Typo. Boyo is obsessed. So am I!
Expect to see this outfit often – it ticks all my boxes. Comfy, colourful and a little bit tough pretty.
I’ve layered both my Feather & Noise hero pieces over a much loved Karen Walker knit (with an unfortunate bleach stain. Waaaaah!). The navy Harper knit with Bria tassel poncho work back beautifully with the ubiquitous blue suede ankle boots and the rich colour of my Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Hillier in Cinnamon Stick.
Just for a change, I decided to work a little 70s chic into my everyday style, by teaming a pair of Next couture flares with my Spend-less Shoes tan ankle boots. The khaki Feather & Noise Harper knit teams beautifully with the pretty aqua floral of my Three Parsons cape jacket.
For a quick catchup with our friends-who-are-family, I teamed my Three Parsons striped knit (from last AW season) with a new Forever New blanket cape, picked up their recent sales. So lovely and snuggly, but now sold out. Click here to some similar styles
I added a gorgeous pop of colour with another sale bargain, my Ruby Olive necklace. It reminded me of the necklace our honeymoon safari guide made for me from a water lily when we were cruising the Okavango Delta. The gentle cruise changed pace when we spotted a hippo!
