Wardrobe Wednesday Autumn Outfits

Welcome to Wardrobe Wednesday!  I’m delighted to be your Glam Squad Hostess with the Mostest.  Every Wednesday, you are invited to share a fashion post with the Wardrobe Wednesday Glam Squad.  Anything you like as long as it is fashion related.  I’m talking Autumn Outfits this week.

Autumn Outfits

In Australia, we’re about to start falling into Autumn.  From my virtual tour around Australia via socialite media, not to mention the virtual world tour from my Wardrobe Wednesday fashion linky party, I know it is becoming increasingly hard to predict the weather patterns.   And what to wear!  I’ve pulled together some fabulous autumn outfits.  It’s all about layering lightly and adding pops of colour.

Autumn Outfits | Red White and Blue

Autumn outfits

Start with a fab LBD wardrobe staple, like Gabriella from The Perfect LBD $229.  Add a light layer like a cropped bamboo jacket by Verily $69 on sale.  When you warm up, it folds down into nothing to fit into your bag.  Create pops of colour with a Ruby Olive Tropicalia Simple Bubble necklace $45, Mary Kay True Dimensions lipstick in Firecracker and Top End red suede wedges from Style Tread $150.

Complete the red white and blue look with the Anizoe Odette leather clutch from Fashionista Depot $30 on sale.  Perfect for work, date nights and running errands with walkable heels.

Autumn Outfits | Got the Blues with Pop Pink

Autumn outfits

I love my dark denim jeans but for my autumn outfits, I’m trying something a little different.  Pale denim – I know right?  So 80s.  I’m continuing the 80s theme by teaming pale denim Slim Ultimate Pants from Katies $49.95 with an oversized navy and white striped Verily raglan tee, on sale at $39.  More 80s action by adding bright pops of colour with aqua and pink with Ruby Olive’s Candyfloss collection.  Elastic beaded bracelet $28, Dip Dye necklace $45 and Pebble earrings $22. Snakeskin Neon Pink Loafers by Sterling & Hyde $89.95 are so 80s cool.  I live in mine!

Last but not least, add a light layer of prettiness with a coordinating Falling Flowers Kimono $119 by Bohemian Traders.  Mine is permanently in my handbag for cooler days and sun shade on hot days.

Autumn Outfits | Pretty Edgy

Autumn outfits

With so much colour happening in autumn with the gorgeousness of turning leaves, it’s the perfect time to rock a tonal nude outfit.  Start with Blush Crop Jeans from Katies $59.95 and add layers of prettiness with the Sadie Lace Shirt from Meshh Byron Bay $79.95,  Natural Beaute True Dimensions Lipstick by Mary Kay, Fresco Blush stilettos by Lipstick from Style Tread $59.95  and pretty in pearls Duchess of Cambridge earrings $40 from Shabby Sisters.

Add some tough to your pretty with the Skull Clasp Hard Case from Colette Hayman $32 on sale.  Every single piece in this autumn outfit is under $100.  Actually, make that under $80.  Bargainista alert!

Autumn Outfits | Tough Pretty

Autumn Oufits

Autumn is the perfect trans seasonal time to rock tough pretty.  Start with a really pretty floaty frock like the Sadie Butterfly Sleeve Print Dress $50 on sale from Meshh Byron Bay.  Amp up the prettiness with an embellished Antique Clutch by Bohemian Traders $79.  Continue the feminine pretty with Ruby Olive jewellery – Candyfloss Sphere necklace $45, Candyfloss Elasticated bracelet $28, Candyfloss Pebble earrings in Turquoise Mix $22.

Time to toughen up the pretty.  Add wooden soled clog black leather sandals by Lipstik from Style Tread $45 on sale and a faux leather studded biker style jacket by Embellished from Fashionista Depot at the bargainista price of $28.  Another outfit where every single piece is under $80.

Autumn Outfits | Mix & Match

Now you know what looks I’ll be channelling this autumn – tough pretty, classic ladylike, 80s preppy, and tonal nude with an edge.  Any of these looks take your fancy?

I love how versatile the pieces are too.  Awesome mix and match options.  The LBD with the biker jacket.  Wear the red wedges with the floral dress.  Try the lace shirt with the pale denim.  Mix the LBD with the neon loafers.  The Bohemian Traders Falling Flowers kimono works back beautifully with every piece – if you love a bit of pattern on pattern action as much as I do.

  • Norlin Mustapha - 6 March 2014 - 5.15 pm

I am very much an “edgy” chick so that biker style jacket paired with the floral dress is right up my alley!ReplyCancel

Kym, me too! I will actually recreate that outfit as I own every single piece in that styleboard – either exact or a similar piece!ReplyCancel

  • bittyandbunny - 6 March 2014 - 4.26 am

Kimba, I love all of these outfits, but my favorite has to be the Tough Pretty one. I love the boho chic vibe; it’s understated with pops of color limited to the accessories. I’d wear it in a heartbeat!!

  • StyledbyBec - 5 March 2014 - 4.35 pm

Love the way you have styled those outfits. I’ve been wanting to get a kimono from Bohemian traders but I’m scared of it making me look bigger than I am. I would cinch it in with a belt, but my expanding belly makes this hard to do so. 🙂ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie Williams - 5 March 2014 - 5.49 pm

It’s a fine line Bec. Sometimes oversized things actually make us look smaller. Sometimes voluminous pieces add bulk in the wrong places. Definitely give it a go. It would make the best breastfeeding top too.ReplyCancel

  • Vicki | The Fashionable Mum - 5 March 2014 - 4.19 pm

Great combos, I’m having a bit of a love affair with blue at the moment. I wore jeans today for the first time in forever – feel like I’m ready to swap them for shorts now though!ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie Williams - 5 March 2014 - 5.50 pm

I wore jeans twice this week and it was fine in the morning, but melting pot time by mid afternoon. Bohemian Traders cotton Poppy Pants today have been perfect!ReplyCancel

  • Housewife in Heels - 5 March 2014 - 2.45 pm

So much to like here. Specially fond of the Bohemian Traders kimono. Just starting to get a few cooler days in Brisbane. Must get the furs out of storage. xReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie Williams - 5 March 2014 - 5.52 pm

Oh, the Kimono is just stunning! I just bought a vintage fur neck piece. I wouldn’t buy new fur but I’m ok with vintage for some reason. I think because they’re older than me!ReplyCancel

  • Mystery Case - 5 March 2014 - 2.15 pm

Gorgeous outfits. I might need to ‘case’ those red wedges. Arriving rather late to the WW party. Needed some social media time out this morning but back now and looking forward to checking everyone’s WW posts.ReplyCancel

  • Jen - 5 March 2014 - 12.34 pm

I love reading style blogs from the southern hemisphere because it’s like having all the seasons all year long! Just as we are (trying to) transition into spring, y’all transition into fall.

Also, love those red wedges! 🙂

Good taste, ladybug! I simply adore my kimonos. Wear them like you would a cardigan or jacket. Same warmth and coverage, but you look like you’ve made way more effort than you have. That’s my style!ReplyCancel
