Winter Style File | my first week outfits
Let me just tell you that running a style challenge and being sick with a virus is a very bad combination. Both Sarah from She Writes and I are sick as sick things. Apologies if you haven’t received a comment on your Winter Style File challenge outfit. We are doing our best, and you all look fabulous!
We are thrilled to see so many new faces join us, as well as catch up with some of our Style File friends.
It’s just awesome to see so many women of different sizes, shapes and ages rocking their style with confidence and sass.
But you know my favourite part? When people step out of their comfort zone to accept the Winter Style File challenge and absolutely rock it! I reckon there might just be a few more double denim outfits in many people’s future!
Sarah has picked her Winter Style File daily faves, and I’m going to share them tomorrow.
But now, it’s all about what I wore for the first week of Winter Style File. Virus and all.
Winter Style File | what I wore
Winter Style File | boot it up
Wearing my Planet Shoes Echo boots, gifted by Planet Shoes. It’s all about the stylish comfort.
Also wearing Mimco leather hairbow and sunglasses; Trenery cashmere mix knit, Boden skirt and opaques.
Winter Style File | fluff + fur
Wearing my Three Parsons fluffy waterfall vest. It is SO snuggly!
Also wearing Namrata Joshipura headband gifted by Planet Shoes, Taking Shape knit, Target biker jeggings and my Planet Shoes Echo boots
Winter Style File | statement earrings
Loving the heck out of these fabulous Ruby & Lilli numbers. I am the founding member of the Tassel Appreciation Society after all! I teamed them with a matchy matchy silk Oroton scarf hairbow.
Winter Style File | double denim
I teamed a Seed padded denim gilet with Kmart Lift & Shape super skinny jeans. Great value for $20!
Also wearing Virtuelle knit and Adidas Superstar sneaks.
Winter Style File | monochrome Monday
H2T shades of blue make me happy. I’ve layered a wool knit from Bella Emporio Rozelle over a Jeanswest twist neck top. It gives an interesting look under the V neck. It’s actually from the Jeanswest maternity line. I needed a couple of long line tops for layering and didn’t realise the side ruching was for maternity purposes, not just a stylish design feature!
Winter Style File | bright tights
I absolutely love the hell out of these Sussan bright tights. They’re a few years old and still going strong.
Styled with a matchy matchy Dotti knit cape (thank you very much Rachael from Champagne S’il Vous Plaît!) gathered at the back and tied at the waist and super comfy Nike wedge hi tops.
To run out for a doctor’s appointment, I untied the cape cardigan, added a navy vintage trench and slung my Michael Kors Jet Set cross body over my shoulder. The bag was gifted by Shopbop. The George Gross Harry Who for Qantas navy trench is one of my favourite vintage thrift finds!
Winter Style File | put a hat on it
I put a hat on it. And a jacket. And a scarf. And rainboots. It was wintry winter weather in Sydney today!
My hat was thrifted Sportsgirl wool felt.
Also wearing Kate Spade scarf and Sam Edelman boots gifted by Shopbop, Country Road wool & leather tunic, H&M padded bomber and Uniqlo jeggings.
Have you been playing along with the fun that is Winter Style File 14 day challenge?
