Style it Project is all about sharing your style. Rachel from Redcliffe Style and I select one piece each month for Style it Project. Usually an affordable and easily accessible piece, like Style it Project July‘s piece – the Bonds Long Sleeve Tee in Black
You probably already have a classic black scoop necked long sleeve tee in your wardrobe. If you don’t, then do yourself a favour and grab the Bonds Long Sleeve Tee here!
If you’d like to play along with Redcliffe Style and Kimba Likes, we’d love to have you! Click here to read Rachel’s Style it Project posts. Click here to read my Style it Project posts. For my first Style it Project July outfit, I wore my Bonds long sleeve tee under a Next striped dress, Sussan merlot opaque tights, Nine West ankle boots and Popbasic tan leather belt.

By keeping the rest of my outfit in tones of black and neutral tan and camel, the merlot tights add a fab colour pop, and the contrasting tan leather belt, with additional help from the variegated stripes, defines my (practically non existent) waist. Click for more tips on how to fake a waist.
I added a snuggly oversized Country Road cardigan because, dudes, it is way too cold to just wear a long sleeve tee at the moment! I accessorised with House of Harlow 1960 Sunburst studs in white leather, and a Mimco hairclip – the prettiest bug you ever did see.
For my second Style it Project July outfit, I again had to layer my Bonds long sleeve tee. Boyo is quite toasty warm in just shorts and T shirts. He even objects strenuously when I ask him to wear socks and his skate shoes, instead of his slip on rubber shoes.
I am clearly a coldhearted woman as I require layers. Plus a huge cashmere scarf. Not to mention a beanie. And the other layers not shown here! I teamed my Bonds long sleeve tee with NYDJ skinny jeans, a cobalt fine gauge Country Road knit and my beloved Burberry cashmere scarf – a gift from the Welshman way back when. Shows the power of an investment piece.
I’m accessorising with my bargain boots – DECJUBA leather biker boots picked up in the January sales for $30! Loving my Lady Chatterley’s Affair woollen cable knit hat with ridiculously fun fur pom pom, and my pretty as a picture Avalise Jewellery pieces made from vintage spoons, plus my gorgeous Honeydew & Violet stacking rings with semi precious stones.
I selected rings with our birthstones, but as Boyo’s wasn’t available, I chose citrine. I didn’t realise that I’d gone with a traffic light theme! I feel like singing every time I see them. “Red light, yellow light, green light, go! Crazy little woman in a one man show.” A sweet 10 points for anyone who recognises these song lyrics!
My Avalise Jewellery earrings were $25, and the bracelet $35. My Honeydew & Violet 1940s inspired sterling silver stacking rings are $15 each or get a discount when purchasing 3 or more with code stack at checkout.
