I had an amazing experience recently, getting a real insight into the process of how designer label collections are created.
Their range of dresses is available in sizes 4-16, but it doesn’t stop there. For another $20, you can order the styles in sizes 18-26.
Shopping on the Fame & Partners website is a unique experience. A simple three step process of Explore, Customize, Style It makes you feel like you’re shopping with your very own personal stylist.
Just like flicking through the racks in a boutique, you look through the gorgeous designs and choose a favourite. Trust me, this might be a time consuming process. Better bookmark a few styles!
There are customisable options for each style. Have you ever thought I love this dress, but I wish the bodice didn’t have the lace, or if only this dress had straps. Perhaps imagine how gorgeous it would be with a lace cutout in the back? Each dress has customisable options for a small additional cost.
Each dress has had the Fame & Partners styling team magic touch, with a range of gorgeous accessories in several different styles.
Alternatively, you can book a free styling session or if you make a purchase, Fame & Partners’ styling team will source different accessories for you.
Interview with Liz Black
My interview appointment dovetailed with that of Fiona from My Mummy Daze. We mixed things up a bit by having a fun photo shoot in downtown Chippendale, in between rainshowers. So much fun that we forgot to allow enough time for an interview!
I squeezed in a few moments with Liz to ask a few burning questions.
I asked Liz what her worst fashion fear was, and she confirmed she was a girl after my own heart by saying that it would being boring. To feel uninspired by her fashion and to feel dull.
Next, I asked Liz if she had always been fashionable. She laughed and confirmed that style didn’t always come naturally to her, and shared a middle school outfit, when she was at her most awkward. Words like nubby knit, neon turquoise, cowl, bell sleeves were used to describe the top, teamed with burgundy cord overalls, and accessorised by giant glasses that sat on her cheeks with braces.
Finally, I asked Liz about her biggest success to date, and she replied with a beaming smile that it was working with Fame & Partners. The opportunity to be flown to Australia, design her own range of evening gowns, and to experience such fantastic design, attention to detail and care cannot be surpassed so far.
This led to a discussion about how the opportunity arose. Liz said that it really comes down to being nice, staying in touch with people and creating relationships. She emphasised that you get what you give. How refreshing to hear such down to earth and charming advice.
