Bagvember Day 16 and it’s the first day of my three day weekend. Oh, yes please!
Day 16’s bag is a teeny tiny vintage Mulberry purse in the yummiest of chocolate brown leather. She’s big enough to hold a wallet, two pairs of glasses, phone and a lippy. You could probably squeeze a few more things in there, if you had to.
Sydney’s weather was not pretty today, but it couldn’t rain on my parade. More precisely, nothing was going to ruin my day off! I managed to reschedule my hair appointment so I could squeeze in one more thing – a trip to the cinema to see Breaking Dawn Part 2. Yup, it’s official. I’m a middleaged teenager! The movie was not great, but somehow, it was. Fabulous ending – I do love a twist – but the movie itself was somewhat disjointed with its usual complement of dodgy acting, gappy script and terrible special effects. Those wolves! So daggy. I still loved it though!
Today I dropped the new bunny, Mr Bunsy, off at the vets so he could have his manhood cut off, before I took myself to the hairdresser to get my fringe cut back in. I highly recommend English Hair and especially the lovely Zoe King.
So, what is this Bagvember stuff all about?
Have you heard about Borne Naked handbag liners? I love to swap bags and I use mine all the time.

Amanda George from Borne Naked has a Handbag Blog, where she showcases everything handbags. She’s a little bit obsessed (I know the feeling well!).
Amanda has issued a challenge for November. Firstly, she’s nicknamed it Bagvember, and it’s all about changing handbags every day for the month of November. Amanda thinks she probably has at least 100 bags.
I’m going to accept the challenge and change my handbag every day. For reasons of practicality, I’m not committing to 30 handbags in 30 days, but I am committing to changing my handbag every day.
My darling 8 year old Boyo loved Frocktober and very proudly told everyone he met that his mama was doing Frocktober. He brainstormed a pile of ideas for what I could do in November, and Bagvember was one of his ideas. It’s fate really, isn’t it! He also came up with Lipstickvember and Bravember and Knickervember. Hmmmm …
If you feel like joining her (and me!), here’s the easy instructions of how to join in!
