Concealer Pencil Beauty Hacks
I’m absolutely addicted to concealer. I layer concealers to create a customised cosmetic solution for my individual skin needs. Especially to disguise my eyebags.
But concealer can do so much more than just, well, conceal. I’m sharing a few of my favourite concealer pencil beauty hacks.
A great way to lift your eye area and brighten your face is to line your waterline with a white pencil.
Not sure what your waterline is? It’s the inner rim of your lower eyelid, just above your lashline.
Whilst I love the effect, I find that white can be a little stark on the face. One of my concealer pencil beauty hacks is to use a light-coloured concealer pencil instead. It lightens and brightens with a softer effect.
Got kids? Ageing parents? A job? Bills? Odds are you can answer yes to at least one of these questions, which means you’ve probably got tired eyes, as well as tired looking eyes.
One of my concealer pencil beauty hacks is to lighten and brighten the eye area by applying a light shade of concealer pencil to the inner V of the eye (the area above and below the tear ducts next to your nose) in a > shape. Blend well for an instant eye opener.
Use the same pencil on the brow bone under the outer third of the eyebrow, and blend well to lift the brow, which instantly makes your eyes look less tired.
Complete the magic trick by highlighting the middle section of your upper eyelid, and blending out before applying eyeshadow. It opens the eye area, adds diffused light and wakes up your makeup!
I like to use a little concealer pencil around my lips to keep my lipstick from bleeding. It’s a more subtle effect than an lipliner.
Continue with the pencil down the middle section of the lips, from the cupid’s bow to the fullest part of the lower lip. Pat it in with your finger to diffuse the edges. It’s like shining a spotlight on your lip, and creates the illusion of a perfectly plumped pout.
