I’m sharing the good oil on my Famous Five beauty oils. One of the reasons I named my site Kimba Likes is that I really love sharing the things I like. Last week, it was all about family holidays in Disneyland. This week, we’re taking a rollercoaster ride to the wonderful world of beauty!
I really do love beauty oils. They smooth flyaway hair and fine lines. They remove makeup easily without stripping the skin. They can even help to reduce sebum production. I know – using oil on your skin can help with oiliness. Weird huh?

Pevonia Dry Oil Body Moisturizer 200mL | $73 | click here to purchase
Beauty Oils for the Body | Absolutely divinely scented dry oil to moisturise your body in a fab spray pack. I spritz on my hands and then smooth over my skin. Packed full of skin loving goodies, it is easily absorbed and leaves the skin glowingly gorgeous. I was lucky enough to receive this product as a gift from Pevonia Australia, but I have bought it in the past and will buy it in the future. Just love it.

Original Mineral Frizzy Logic Shine Serum | $31.95 | click here to purchase | affiliate link
I have appointed myself the unofficial ambassador for Original Mineral. I simply adore their products. This is the first one I tried and I went back for more! It is a little bottle of magic for your hair. I add a few drops to my styling creme for an extra moisture boost. I apply it to dry hair before bed as a treatment. A drop or two on the palms of the hands and smoothed over the hair removes flyaways like nothing you’ve ever seen. A drop or two more scrunched into the hair with a few curl defining twirls of the fingers and frizzed out curls become luxuriously smooth waves. I keep a bottle in my car and one in my handbag. It is that good.

SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil | $90 | click here to purchase | affiliate link
Anything from this prestige skincare range is guaranteed to be beautifully packaged, and this pump pack is slick. See what I did there? Come on, couldn’t have a a whole post without at least one punny dad joke!
This isn’t a daily use product for me, but for days when I’m wearing a lot of makeup, especially a dark smokey eye, it can’t be beaten. It simply melts off makeup, and leaves my skin feeling clean. Strips dirt without stripping moisture with no oily residue – and that is exactly what you want from a cleansing oil! Try it after a day out at the beach, when you’ve layered coat after coat of sun block on your skin.
Josie Maran Argan Oil 50mL | $59 | click here to purchase
Argan oil is the main ingredient of the Morroccanoil product range, and is known as the “liquid gold of Morocco”. Full of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, you can use it to heal, condition and repair your skin, hair, nails … even baby bottoms apparently! I picked some Josie Maran Argan Oil up from Sephora when I was in the USA. I will never give up my beloved Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+, but I really fell in love with argan oil too. I like to use the argan oil during the day, as a smoothing layer underneath my BB cream, and rosehip oil as part of my night time beauty routine.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ | $29.95 | click here to purchase | affiliate link
I’ve tried a couple of rosehip oils brands but I truly believe this one is the best. And then they went and made it better by adding red berry oil to up the antioxidant factor. I do not travel without a little bottle of this baby. I’ve used it as an emergency makeup cleanser emulsified with water. A tiny bit massaged into the eyelids and lashes will help dislodge stubborn eye makeup. It is a fabulous serum and layers beautifully with other skincare products. As the price is so reasonable, it is an excellent neck and decolletage moisturiser. I’ve even used it as an emergency body moisturiser. I always rub the excess into my cuticles too. Plus, it’s a Kiwi, just like me.
Are you a fan of beauty oils, or would you rather give them the slip?
