Let’s get frocked for the last 10 days of Frocktober 2016!

An oldie from the wardrobe archives, teamed with Topshop suede loafers

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Three Parsons and Ruby and Lilli

Frocktober 2016 wearing Three Parsons

For a cooler day, I teamed my Three Parsons zebra dress with Bella Bodies tights, Topshop loafers, and the gorgeous Indigo Tassel scarf from Ruby & Lilli.  Mimco shades and Michael Kors Ava satchel gifted by Shopbop

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Boom Shankar

I just adore this frock.  Loosely fitted, gingham, cap sleeves and hand embroidered pink daisies.  Teamed with Adidas Superstars, Mimco shades and polkadot chambray hairbow.

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Timeless by Vanessa Tong from Liana, Leichhardt MarketplaceFrocktober 2016 wearing Timeless by Vanessa Tong

I popped out for morning coffee with my gorgeous girl, and popped into Liana at Leichhardt MarketPlace.  I treated myself to a divine flamingo print frock, and this lovely one nearly made it into my wardrobe too!  This is the same style as the Little Party Dress frock I wore last week to wander around the markets with the Welshman.

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Caroline Morgan Frocktober 2016 wearing Caroline Morgan

Oh hai there flamingos! I’ve gone all matchy matchy with According to Alana flamingo hairbow with the Caroline Morgan dress I bought the day before.  Superstars got another run #seewhatIdidthere

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Motto

Frocktober 2016 wearing Motto

How pretty is this gorgeous new season Slub Splendour frock?  It was a lovely gift from Motto.  It’s just so pretty!  Look at the draped sleeves and double peplum hem.  Oh and the floral print obvs!

I teamed it with nude Ziera sandals and a hot pink Oroton silk scarf worn as a hairbow.

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Leona Edmiston Ruby

Frocktober 2016 wearing Leona Edmiston

I thrifted this Leona Edmiston Ruby frock from Vinnies recently. I upped the girly factor with Eb & Ive rose gold earrings, kindly gifted by Anchor & Stone and a super pretty rose quartz necklace by Blush & Co, plus my Michael Kors Ava ladybag.

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Lillianna Plus

Frocktober 2016 | wearing Lillianna Plus

Frocks and physio appointments arent necessarily a match made in heaven, so I teamed a fun pair of printed activewear tights from Boohoo FIT with a classic black jersey dress kindly gifted by Lillianna Plus.  Dion Lee for Target skater kicks and DKNY denim jacket completed my look.

Woohoo! Date night! Boyo had a sleepover with his bestie, and the Welshman and I headed out for an early dinner at Fish & Co, at the hipster destination du jour, Tram Sheds Harold Park.  Then we headed over to Giant Dwarf theatre in Redfern to catch Wil Anderson’s improv series, Whatchu Talkin’ ‘Bout Wil?  The man can do no wrong.  I luff him!

I teamed my Adrift grey skinny ponte pants with Leona Edmiston Frocks chocolate brown dress and Steve Madden fringed boots.  The gorgeous necklace is from my local love, Bella Emporio Rozelle.

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Country Road

Frocktober 2016 | wearing Country Road

Love this cleverly cut Country Road dress.  The cowl neck even has a little weight attached so it sits perfectly.  Teamed with my go to nude Ziera sandals.

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing Verily

Frocktober 2016 | wearing Verily

The weather turned it on for the penultimate day of Frocktober.  What a gorgeous sunny day it was! Perfect for a flattering day dress by Verily.  Love the colour – rather fond of the flattering cut too!

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | wearing vintage Diane Freis

Frocktober 2016 | wearing Diane Freis

I had to make a statement for the final day of Frocktober.  Vintage Diane Freis designer goodness, complete with micropleats and maximum volume, mad florals and vivid colours said it all for me!

I teamed it with super cute red patent FRANKiE4 sandals, a print clash Leona Edmiston fabric belt (a $5 bargain from their vintage store), vintage sterling silver dichroic glass drops and my favourite Mimco shades.

I like big frocks and I cannot lie!

Kimba Likes Frocktober 2016 | my top six frocks

Frocktober 2016 | most popular frocks

As voted by Instagram likes, here are my top six frocks of Frocktober 2016.

  • Top L-R Three Parsons, Shabby Sisters, Little Party Dress
  • Bottom L-R Shabby Sisters, Passion Q, Magnolia Vintage

So, I just have to say this. I’m super proud of myself for frocking up every single day.  I actually wore 34 dresses in 31 days!

Every day, I got up, made up, frocked up because my autoimmune disease won’t kill me, but one Australian woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer.

Frocktober is so much more than just pretty frocks.  Frocktober is about making noise and raising funds to support Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s work into an early detection test.

I’m a big fan of Timeless by Vannessa Tong, and Caroline Morgan myself. You did so well for Frocktober, I never thought before but it must be much more of a challenge for my southern sisters, to wear a dress when the weather is not cooperating!ReplyCancel

  • Leanne @ Deep Fried Fruit - 4 November 2016 - 6.10 am

My Melbourne Cup dress was a Timeless!! I recognised the styling immediately in your post. I’m off to add my link on your linky so you can see it.
Thanks so much for joining the Lovin’ Life Linky! I’d love to see you next Thursday as well.

  • Deborah - 3 November 2016 - 5.19 pm

Very impressive. I have to admit I only own one dress and it doesn’t really fit! I’m more of a pants person, but I like a couple you’ve got in this latest batch! #teamlovinlifeReplyCancel

I NEED that Diane Freis dress or something like it for an event I have coming up. Although not sure i could pull it off like you do. You did such a fab job for Frocktober. My Frocktober efforts were once again on the sidelines. I sponsored the Frocktober event at Jonte’s studio again this year. Last year it was with Vicki and I was far more involved. This year, it was with The Illusive Femme, The Tangible Blog and The Style Within but health got in the way and I wasn’t as involved as I would have liked but still involved and donated the bubbly for the event. They ended up raising over $2500. So proud and such a great event.ReplyCancel

You did a marvellous job of Froctober Kim-Marie. All the frocks were different – such a variety. I must admit I am also a frock girl. they make me feel very feminine.ReplyCancel
