Sydney, your dodgy weather is making my Frocktober decisions considerably more difficult than they should be. What is WITH this weather? It is cold and wet and gloomy and grey. We should be gambolling in the sunshine with floating blossoms on the spring breeze, not shivering and wearing socks inside boots to stay warm!
As I’m still in Kimba Likes Leona Week, I’m wearing a Leona Edmiston frock today, in black with musk pink detailing. It has a 40s feel with the mock epaulettes and fit and flare styling. In typical Leona fashion, the dress fits where it should and skims over the other bits. I love that!
Due to today thinking it was actually winter, I’ve styled the dress with black tights (and ankle socks inside my boots!), and a gorgeous retro-inspired TL Wood pinstriped fitted coat. I’ve added a modern twist with Seed Femme ankle boots, almost dead ringers for Acne Pistols. A pretty cream Art Deco-inspired Mimco clip completes the look.
I’ve popped my makeup with a bright pink lip and cheek to cheer me up. My new favourite is BECCA Ultimate Colour Gloss in Flamingo Crush, and BECCA Beach Tint in Dragonfruit. Adds a much needed flush of prettiness to a grey day. Even my iPhone has a new frock today in a glorious bright pink.
Lots of weather doom and gloom on Day 11 of Frocktober and Day 4 of Kimba Likes Leona Week, but I still managed to rock my frock and keep on raising money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
You can check out my Everyday Hero Kimba Likes fundraising page, which is tracking my efforts to reach my fundraising goal of $500. Thank you so much to the gorgeous and generous souls who have made a contribution. Love your work!
