Day 6 of Kimba Likes Leona Week, which also just happens to be Day 13 of Frocktober, finds me feeling a little bit sorry for myself. I feel like I’ve a hangover. Sadly, the only thing I drank last night was a nice hot cup of tea with my Adriano Zumbo brioche brownie whilst the Welshman was out with work. Maybe he transferred his hangover to me?!
In order to make me feel a little sparklier, I’ve popped on some makeup, inspired by Rachel from Redcliffe Style’s Five Minute beauty routine to disguise that you only had 2 hours sleep. Can’t tell you how much I’m loving Catalina Geo BB Cream! Thanks to Nikki from Styling You for the recommendation. I’ve got a mere whisper of MAC Mineralize over the top, and a little Estee Lauder Disappear concealer.
I’ve made up my eyes with Face of Australia matte eye primer, Australis Nudist eye palette and NARS Larger Than Life pencil in Via Appia, a beautiful old gold colour that I highlight my inner corners and lower waterline with. My lipgloss is Elizabeth Arden Rosegold, which I pick up in duty free at Sydney Airport for a tenner.
I have battled undereye bags by patting in some YSL Touche Eclat, and highlighted my brows and cheekbones with BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. I’ve a mere hint of MAC Pinch o’ Peach blush too – the perfect colour because it can be worn with literally every shade of lipstick from nudes to reds to oranges to pinks, and the rainbow of colours in those tones.
I won’t tell you what unspeakable thing my photographer, the Welshman, said to me to make me laugh like this!
Today’s frock is a Leona Edmiston Leona dress in navy blue with a crossover bodice, and fluted sleeves. I’ve teamed it with a lovely snuggly silk Country Road peach cardigan and peach Dotti snakeskin flats. I’m keeping my legs warm in Sussan merlot ponte leggings, and I’ve accessorised my new shorter curly ‘do with a Sportsgirl tweed hairbow.
I’m feeling a little ill on Day 13 of Frocktober and Day 6 of Kimba Likes Leona Week. I’ve managed a sleep in and am not planning on leaving the house until my dinner date at a “fancy restaurant” with Boyo and the Welshman tonight, but I’m keeping on keeping on rocking my frock and raising money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
You can check out my Everyday Hero Kimba Likes fundraising page, which is tracking my efforts to reach my fundraising goal of $500. Thank you so much to the gorgeous and generous souls who have made a contribution. Love your work!
