Frocktober : Day 29

Frocktober Day 29 and I’m feeling a little sorry for myself.  I’ve sprained my back.  I’d love to say that I injured myself doing a 5 km run this morning, or advanced yoga at dawn.  However, I must confess that what actually happened is that as I stumbled out of bed into the bathroom, I yawned and stretched and felt my back go ping ping pop!

Today’s outfit is all about comfort and painkillers and physio and heat packs.  I’m wearing a Country Road striped t shirt dress in my favourite blue and black, over Marcs charcoal marle jersey leggings.  I bought these to wear on our last 24 hour flight to the UK and they are as close as I will ever come to wearing trackpants in public.  I’ve teamed them with some cute coral suede loafers, which I managed to pick up for $5 brand new from Rozelle Red Cross.  I know!  You can’t get a sandwich for a fiver.

Thanks very much to Bella Emporio on Darling Street, Rozelle for the use of their mirror for today’s selfie outfit shot.  It is the prettiest shop with the loveliest accessories and clothes and gifts.  But it is dangerous!

7 Days of Selfies with Bloss Heart Blog – Day 3

I’m participating in an Instagram challenge – 7 days of Selfies with Bloss Heart Blog.  You should go and check it out under the #7daysofselfies hashtag.

Today’s makeup is, shall we say, minimal.  No point wearing much makeup when you know you’re about to spend an hour face down on a physio table.  I haven’t even got mascara on.  I’m wearing a tiny bit of Napoleon Perdis mineral makeup and Mauve Minx lipliner with a little BECCA Lip Plumping Moisture Gloss.  To save me from total zombiedom, I’ve pinked it up with some very pretty pink Bobbi Brown Pink Peony blush.

Day 29 of Frocktober and I’ve sprained my back, but I’m still frocking on and raising money for the  Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

You can check out my Everyday Hero Kimba Likes fundraising page, which is tracking my efforts to reach my fundraising goal of $500.  Thank you so much to the gorgeous and generous souls who have made a contribution.  Only $100 to go.  I’m unbelievably grateful.  Love your work!
