Over the next 10 weeks, I’ll be bringing you three posts about Garnier products and sharing a prompt of how they fit into my life.  Some of the products I’ve recently been introduced to and some are long term beauty BFFs!

As a Top 40 Beauty & Lifestyle Blogger, I’m sharing the story of how Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water helped me deal with a big change in my life.

If you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll have noticed that I fell victim to my own klutziness.  Not much of a change there!  I slipped on wet tiles on my front verandah and fell down so hard on my knees and outstretched hand, that I fell forward again, with my poor hand taking the brunt.  I’m not going to lie – it hurt like a very hurty thing.

Thank goodness for good friends.  One of the Gorgeous Girls swooped to the rescue and dropped me at the GP Clinic.  I was expecting to see my doctor and get my sprained wrist bandaged up.  Luckily, fate intervened.  My GP was so busy that they suggested I head to the hospital.

Just as well, as I found myself getting an X-ray for a suspected broken hand.  Now that’s a big change!  I can’t believe I made it to 41 without a broken bone either, just quietly.

There has been a huge change in my life whilst I’m recuperating.  Lots of little changes to how I live my everyday life, rather than one big change.

  • I’ve had to let go and relax.  My hand won’t heal if it doesn’t get rest.
  • I’ve had to eat meals than can be consumed with one hand – and the Welshman has been amazing in organising meals for me, bless him.
  • I’ve had to have baths instead of showers, or wait for the Welshman to bag my arm for me
  • I’ve had to have help putting on my bra and even my deodorant
  • I’ve even had to hit the pause button on blogging – and that’s hard!
  • My overstuffed wardrobe has shrunk to a couple of very stretchy tops, pull on pants, a men’s hoodie and oversized batwing sleeved cardigans.
  • I even had to have a froyo shake instead of froyo in a cup!  I know, right. Told you it was the little things!

As a self confessed beauty junkie, one of the biggest changes for me has been trying to maintain my beauty regime – one handed!

You don’t realise how much you use both hands in everyday life until you only have one at  your disposal.  Rather than applying product to the back of my hand and then to my face, I’ve been squirting it directly onto my face and turning myself into a one handed brush wielding beauty dervish!

Removing bottle caps and lids has been quite the saga.  I’ve had to resort to holding tubes in my teeth to open with my useful hand!

Taking my daily skincare and any makeup off at the end of the day has been an absolute breeze though!  It’s a change that’s been easy to deal with.

I simply pop a couple of cotton pads on my bathroom bench, flip the lid on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water bottle, squirt a wee bit on and et voila, one very clean face in a few one handed wipes!  In the morning, I remove my night time skincare with another swipe or two of my cotton pad, ready for the day.

My skin is left clean and refreshed, yet soothed.  It never feels tight or uncomfortable and not a trace of makeup remains. No scrubbing and no rubbing.

My Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is one of those products that I recommend to everyone, and stock up on.  I don’t want to be without it!  I even converted a Priceline staff member to my beloved Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and gave her a quick in store demo.

I’ve even got Boyo onto it.  As a tweenager, the sooner he gets started on a daily skincare habit the better.  A bubbly face wash put him off a bit, but he’s quite keen on Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

I received a sample when I attended the Kidspot Voices of 2014 Launch Event in April.  I’ve only just cracked open my second bottle.  It’s August!

Now that’s a change I’m really happy with!  Not only have I been able to keep my skin clean with a broken hand, but my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water has saved me time AND money!
