Harris Coffee Obsessed | Giveaway

I was recently lucky enough to attend the fabulous Harris Coffee Obsessed event, in conjunction with Brand Meets Blog, and hosted by the glowingly gorgeous Ada Nicodemu.

I love coffee.  Unfortunately, it’s very much a one way relationship and it doesn’t love me back.  I get the shakes and an upset tummy.  It’s all terribly unpleasant.  But, I persist.  I have a coffee every couple of months.  I have tried weak coffee but it just doesn’t taste right.  Decaf does the trick but sometimes a girl just needs the caffeine boost you can’t get from a cup of tea!

A fabulously enjoyable event with delicious high tea comestibles, a chance to chat with some beautiful bloggers and enjoy the views of Rushcutters Bay from the most gorgeous private residence.  Best of all, a coffee master class, hosted by Ada Nicodemu, and the Master Roasters in charge of bringing the best possible coffee to market.

My newfound coffee knowledge came in very  handy when I was declared the extremely lucky winner of a gorgeous Breville espresso machine, which now proudly lives on my kitchen bench.  I have to confess,I tend it use it more as a milk steamer to make amazing hot chocolates and chai lattes.

I was also treated to a gorgeous goodie bag containing enough coffee to keep the Welshman caffeinated for some months, a gorgeous coffee-scented candle and a fabulous Bodum travel coffee mug.  Brew your French press coffee (or tea) with the internal plunger, then it’s a fabulous insulated travel mug.  Perfect for the school run / work commute / life in general!

I think personality wise I am like a mocha – best served with lots of chocolate! Cappuccinos are my favourite to have with breakfast or brunch, with lattes for after lunch. It’s taken a while, but I definitely have an appreciation for good coffee now and it would be lovely to be able to make some at home.ReplyCancel

I am a Latte girl but at home I just have a long black with milk. That travel mug looks awesome. I would use it all the time. Rachel xxReplyCancel

In the last week I have become a Latte girl. I know… moving from Cappuccino to Latte is a BIG deal. One done with thought and contemplation. But… it was time. It was time to say goodbye to the chocolate powder and the over foamy head. I also love that the latte comes in a MUCH prettier cup – often a glass!

The change was made easier by the fact that for the last few months, BabyCool was expecting to get the chocolate powder coated foam spooned into his open mouth. I had been drinking Lattes for ages anyway!

    What a cool give-away!ReplyCancel

I LOVE a cappuccino with one sugar – perfection at its best with its creamy texture and aromatic
flavour. Harris Coffee is right, it definitely is ‘the sensorial encounter’, I just have to be careful not to get a cappuccino moustache while enjoying it!ReplyCancel
