I received my amazing, seemingly-bottomless prize package today … thank you so much to Kimba and the brands and designers who contributed. I’m feeling pretty special over here. xxReplyCancel

  • Elise - 20 February 2015 - 8.48 pm

    1. Fave type of post is any kind of wardrobe styling (especially when it’s affordable and size-appropriate brands like Katies). For me to say “I love that. I could totally do that!” is so important, and surprisingly rare among the blogs I read these days.
    2. More vintage fashion styling and shopping tips please! How do you have a successful shop at a thrift store, and when are you paying too much?
    3. I like to celebrate an anniversary just like I start any day – with a re-commitment to what’s important and to never look back at what’s gone wrong! xxxReplyCancel

  • Emma Newsom-Smith - 20 February 2015 - 8.30 pm

Ooh..amazing prizes Kimba. Happy Blogiversary to you 🙂
    1. I love your style posts. You have a quirky, amazing style and have inspired me to be more daring with my colour and accessories.
    2. More curly hair styling tips would be great. As a fellow curly-haired gal I need more encouragement to embrace my curly locks. Your hair always looks mighty fine!
    3. A perfect anniversary for me is child-free (can you tell I have kids under 5?!) and definitely involves eating something yummy cooked by something else. A glass of bubbles always helps too!

    I am a Sydneysider. emmakns@gmail.comReplyCancel

1.I enjoy the beauty posts, I have just been reading your post about taming curly hair. I have been struggling with my frizzy mop for years and I am going to try some of your tips. I like that you actually have real advice, not just use a particular product.
2.Nothing original from me, as almost everyone has said you have a great range of topics.
3.I always love to celebrate anniversaries with food, from cheap and cheerful to fine dining. As long as food is involved, I’m happy!ReplyCancel

    1. Never been a lemming myself so I love “Smash the Fashion Rules”! I love to see someone else’s take on what I do all the time!

    2. The blog content is GREAT as it is! Strange as it might be, I’d like to see more ads down the RHS. That’s where I often uncover something different.

    3. Celebrating anniversaries? What’s that?…ReplyCancel

  • Danielle Armstrong - 20 February 2015 - 10.57 am

    Big celebration!!
    1. I love the style challenges where you (and others) take a piece and style it multiple ways. I’m big on multiple usages for my clothes and these are a great source of inspo!
    2. I would love to see you take your style flair and explore how to style for different body shapes and occasions. We are all different but still stylish and gorgeous!
    3. I used to say celebrations should be about going to fancy places etc, but Hubby and I spent our last wedding anniversary at a local cafe followed by dvd curled up on the lounge together – kid free. It was bliss! Just BEING, no pressure, just enjoying each other. It was perfect xReplyCancel

  • Belle Farley - 20 February 2015 - 9.54 am

    1. I love seeing what you wear. It’s so nice to see a REAL person rocking some pretty great outfits. It makes me feel like it’s achievable even for me. Very inspiring!
    2. What about some spectacles fashion? I’m a glasses wearer and would love more tips on what’s hot in specs and even how to style my hair and makeup to compliment my glasses.
    3. We celebrated our first-date anniversary by getting married on the same date 7 years later. And then when we had twins the following year, we celebrated that anniversary by having a third baby on the twins birthday. It seems we like to combine all the fun into just a few special days!ReplyCancel

Love your Smash the Fashion Rules posts, you’ve given me lots of ideas of what I can wear and still look good, even with my boobs and bum, and extended my wardrobe.

I’d love to see more thrift challenges at different places and markets, that way we’d see more of your personal style.

The Geggy and I rope my sister into baby sitting, ( 4 kids, 2 with special needs, it’s not easy getting a baby sitter!) and we go out for a lovely dinner and a movie and pretend we’re just a couple again for a few hours, and re-charge our batteries, ready for our hectic and wonderful life again.ReplyCancel

  • Danielle - 17 February 2015 - 3.36 pm

Rock on, sugar, this is a fab giveaway!
    1. I love your style. It’s so individual and eclectic. I love seeing how you’re putting stuff together and learning to flat lay from you!!
    2. You know what I’m going to say here, I love when you get personal. Seeing more of who you are and what makes you tick is cool because you’re an ace lady with a personality to match your style.
    3. You know what, let’s go all out. A romantic weekend away with champers on arrival if I can swing it….. otherwise, drunken dancing and a root at home 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Alicia - 17 February 2015 - 9.42 am

Great giveaway! I most like the way you write – such a chatty, confident and personal style. I enjoy your reflections on your changing style and how/why you choose to put clothes/accessories together for YOU. I think your review/giveaways are great – more please! And an anniversary…well, at this point with a preschooler and a primary schooler my main wish is for TIME! So my favourite way to celebrate would be: my lovely parents minding the kids, time away from the house/housework/washing/work plus delicious food and wine. xReplyCancel

I love your fashion and style posts. You are a real woman with a body I can relate to and you know how to inject colour and fun into your style which I find inspirational.

I would you like to see more style how-to’s and maybe some fix-it suggestions to reader dilemmas.

Definitely getting glammed up and heading out for dinner at our favourite restaurant, starting with a cocktail to inject even more glam. It was our anniversary on Friday and we did exactly this… I’m following this up with a take-away loungeroom floor picnic and a smooch movie at home mid-week, which was the back-up plan when a babysitter issue arose.

Best to get me at @Kanga_Rue… I’m originally from Sydney, and I have a few trips planned down this year (does that count?); one of my best friends lives at Bondi.ReplyCancel

Happy bloggy birthday the 3rd! My answers are:
    1. My fave posts are fashion and beauty particularly new products and how to use them and wardrobe styling, pattern clashing isn’t my strongest styling point so it’s great to see how you put an outfit together.
    2. I really liked the video intro you did, so maybe more of those or even a make up tutorial.
    3. My ideal anniversary celebration would be a mini break, somewhere simple and relaxing like the river or beach, take the Friday off of work and just drive!

    3. Although I love presents (and giveaways) I love to celebrate an anniversary with an experience because I prefer to collect moments rather than things. I like to go away on a love weekend and if we can’t stretch to that, then a special meal with bubbles, no troubles!ReplyCancel

  • Deb @ Nourish Nation - 8 February 2015 - 5.49 pm

Yikes! My favourite post on Kimba Likes?! I love them all but I guess for me, what is sweets, is indulging in Kimba’s Daily Treats! Finding something everyday to lift me up, take the blues away. To see more of, it would have to be, fashion, flair and beauty. At an achievable price would make life sunny as we don’t all have infinite money! An anniversary is for me, a chance to catch up with family. To reminisce, to joke and laugh, to have some fun not do things by half. Thank you for this opportunity, unfortunately I don’t live in Sydney!ReplyCancel

  • Deb (Two Cheeky Monkeys) - 7 February 2015 - 8.08 pm

    1. I like your “what I wore” style posts for wardrobe inspiration. Even those who don’t have the same style as you can get fun inspiration for their own style. 🙂

    2. I would love to see some style posts for women of different ages and body shapes – and maybe also covering different occasions; casual, formal, weddings, holidaying, etc.

    3. My favourite way to celebrate an anniversary is a beautiful meal out with my most loved family and friends. Although I’d also love an anniversary getaway…

    Oh, and I don’t live in Sydney…pity.ReplyCancel

Hey Kimba, happy bloggy birthday. So glad your blog is back in cyberspace now….such great prizes..

What’s your favourite type of post to read on Kimba Likes?
My fave posts are Wardrobe Wednesday, The Style Profiles & Family posts

What would you like to see more of on Kimba Likes and why?
    A) street style thing, one person, one feature item, 3 ways to wear it (either on you, your clients or readers)
    B) Another fashion challenge-love them

What’s your favourite way to celebrate an anniversary?
I love being surprised. I once (BC – before children) wrote up a Magical Mystery tour for hubby & we spent the day solving clues to each new destination. We started at breakie, visited wineries, touristy places & finished at a fancy restaurant & watched the sunset.ReplyCancel

  • Jo Hardy Brown - 6 February 2015 - 9.55 pm

    1. Although I enjoy all your posts, I think my absolute favourites are ones where you share about your family, your health and your goals. As a CFS sufferer, I find your ability to deal with health issues totes inspiring! It also makes me realise that there is a story behind your beautiful smile and cute style.
    2. I was thinking it would be great if you were to address a ‘reader question’ or ‘style issue of the week’. I have problems with a lot of dresses because I think I’m short waisted and it would be great to get some tips and tricks! Sometimes I wish you lived closer and I could take you shopping with me!
    3. An ideal anniversary celebration for me would involve a lunch (I run out of energy at night) at a swanky restaurant with a glass or two of bubbles. Oh and gratitude. Definitely need to include an attitude of gratitude at any anniversary celebration xReplyCancel

    2. Maybe some home décor ideas or even any cheap finds for the house that you could share with us would be cool!

    3. Call me a traditionalist but I love celebrating by going out to dinner somewhere nice with a lovely bottle wine.

    Thanks Kimba!ReplyCancel

    1. I love your personal recommendations. It’s like getting tips from a friend 🙂

    2. I love spying other people’s living spaces. Would you do garden/home/room inspirations?

    3. I’m currently nursing a babe, so all the good stuff is out, but for special occasions I love a glass of something bubbly, some good cheese, some fruit and great conversation. Oh and chocolate 🙂ReplyCancel

Some great prizes there Kimba! I love reading your style posts; would love to see more of “behind the scenes” at Kimba’s place; and for wedding anniversaries, love it when we can manage a romantic getaway eg 5 days at the Gold Coast for 20 years; this year for 25 years we’re doing a Mediterranean cruise – woohoo!ReplyCancel

1.I always love reading posts about your personal experiences with products- I know that you always state your honest opinion and are not swayed by sponsoring. If you like it, I tend to seek it out!
2.I always love your outfit and beauty posts- I would love to see some glimpses into your home décor and possibly a day in the life of Kimba series where you share your day to day fabulousness.
3.I am celebrating my wedding anniversary tomorrow and we always make sure to go out somewhere completely new for dinner! Then we will be heading to the movies to see The Almanac and then off to the bar for a sneaky wine or two. I love spending anniversaries with my family and the people I love.

Congratulations on your blogiversary! I am sadly not in Sydney but love love love every one of these prizes!ReplyCancel

Holy heck ladycakes – what an amazeballs roundup of prizes! A fabulous and fitting way to celebrate such a beautiful blog. xx
    1. My favourite posts (besides your fashion and beauty posts) are the ones where you share something personal or something topical. You always handle these topics with such dignity, you give me something to think about and I always feel better after reading. Kinda like an awesome therapy session but way more fun (and less expensive)!
    2. I’d like to see more of your styling tips and tricks – why you put items together, how to give an outfit a little something extra, stuff like that.
    3. Exactly how we’ll be celebrating our upcoming wedding anniversary – a beautiful meal, a bottle of French Champagne and plenty of laughs (and kisses). xReplyCancel

    1) I started following you on Instagram and popped over to your blog to read more about where you get the clothes you wear, and posts about personal style (yours and others) are my fave. I find it inspirational to see how much fun you have with your style and how much personal flair you show in your outfits. I get lots of ideas re: where to shop and I love finding out about new Australian designs and jewellery etc.
    2) What would you like to see more of on Kimba Likes and why? Your tips and tricks and hacks are always great. I’m especially intrigued by your op shop adventures and would love to read more about your finds and if you take others out on op shop adventures, how you help them find treasures that suit them.
    3) As for celebrating anniversaries, it’s all about great food and the person / people with whom you’re celebrating.

    Yes, I live in Sydney.ReplyCancel

I like the way that reading your blog is like chatting with a friend. You speak your mind and appear normal like me lol. I’d love to see more on making everyday clothes more individualised. I love your quirky style and the fact you mix things up, make them special. My favourite way to celebrate an anniversary (my divorce anniversary every year lol) is cake, champers & a good shopping spree.ReplyCancel
