Makeup Brush Cleaning Life Hacks
Makeup Brush Cleaning Life Hacks | daily wipe
To cut down on the major drama llama of makeup brush cleaning, grab a microfibre face cloth, dampen it and wipe over your brushes after you’ve used them.
You can also use a little micellar water and cotton pads. You’ll still need a good deep cleaning regime, but this daily duty can stretch it out a little further!
Makeup Brush Cleaning Life Hacks | textured silicon glove
I spent an absolute fortune on a specialist silicon glove designed to clean my makeup brushes. Then I spotted this brilliant tip on Instagram from Beauty with Bec.
Buy a silicon kitchen glove! Genius!
The idea of the gloves is super simple and super clever – working the brush into the grooves on the brush gets your makeup brushes super clean. How super!
Makeup Brush Cleaning Life Hacks | plate rinse
Once you’ve got your brushes squeaky clean using your silicon kitchen glove life hack, the next step is to give them a really good rinse. It’s important not to get the ferrule wet – this is the metal bit where the brush attaches to the handle. Getting it wet will loosen the glue and your brush will moult worse than the Bunny Bros in spring time.
Use a white plate held on an angle under a running tap so that you can rinse your brush whilst keeping the ferrule nice and dry. Any colour plate will do … but using a white plate will make it easier for you to judge when your makeup brush is squeaky clean. You can see when the water is running clear.
