My Sephora Favourites

One of the reasons I named my site Kimba Likes is that I really love sharing the things I like.  And I really, REALLY like Sephora!  Man, did I have fun at Sephora!  I visited three different stores and spent FAR too much money.  But, oh, the pretty.  The prices!  The sheer vastness of the range.  The products we just can’t get in Australia.  Lollies for Ladies!  I am sharing my Sephora Favourites and the window shopping required for this post has been torturous!

My Sephora Favourites | Urban Decay Naked Palette USD $52

The original cult eyeshadow palette from edgy brand Urban Decay definitely made it onto my Sephora Favourites list.  Norlin from Baubles Bubbles and Bags recommended it to me and I am forever grateful.  12 universally flattering neutral shades ranging from champagne to gunmetal.

A little beauty birdie tells me that Urban Decay will be available in Myer next year.  Allegedly.

My Sephora Favourites | Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer USD $24

Oh My Gods.  Where has this concealer been all my life?  Another one introduced to me by the gorgeous girl who was in charge of my Sephora-over at Downtown Disney.  Sephora really was my Disneyland!

This fabulous concealer contains no nasties at all and is infused with Tarte’s maracuja oil.  Clearly the elixir of the gods.  It really does last all day without creasing, even on sweaty Sydney summer days.  Brightens, conceals, hides, whilst making my undereye area look dewy.

Not only one of my Sephora favourites, but one of my all time Holy Grail products.

Unfortunately, Tarte products are almost impossible to buy in Australia.  The best option is to buy direct from Tarte or Sephora and use an online shipping agent like Lil Shoppa or My US (which seem to get the best reviews from the research I’ve done).

Alternatively The Blonde Room in Woolahra, Sydney holds Tarte Parties for 5-10 women with a minimum spend of $50 on Tarte products each.  They supply delicious refreshments, a qualified makeup artist and lots of gifts!

My Sephora Favourites | Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer USD $18

I purchased Fluorescent Beige, which apparently is Marc’s favourite colour.  Inspired by Marc Jacobs’ super lacquered coffee table, this polish is in the most beautiful bottle I’ve ever seen for a nail lacquer.  The finish is a plasticised wet look and it is incredibly chip resistant.  Yes, even for me.  That alone made it on to the list of my Sephora favourites.

The brush is shaped to optimise application and the formulation is three-free.  Beige is not usually a colour I choose for my nails – or anything really – but this beige has to be seen to be believed.  They call it an iridescent light mauve pink and it is beeyootiful.

My Sephora Favourites | Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl USD $28

I’ve recently converted back to bright lipstick after wearing lip gloss for years and years.  This gorgeous Lip Vinyl converted me back to lip gloss.  Strictly speaking, it is a lip vinyl, but if it looks like a lip gloss and applies like a lip gloss, then it feels like a lip gloss to me.

It is champagne grape-infused and the applicator is amazeballs for perfectly precise application.  It lasts and lasts and smells and tastes divine.  The plumping formulation is available in Sheer and Full.

Not only one of my Sephora favourites, but my favourite lip product of all time.  Yes, I am choosing it over my beloved BECCA Ultimate Colour Lip Gloss and even my Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick.

My Sephora Favourites | Caudalie Beauty Elixir USD $49 for 100mL

Caudalie Beauty Elixir is definitely one of my Sephora favourites.  I was introduced to it when I was treated to a full makeover and bought it on the spot.

A spray mist with essential oils and herbal ingredients that tones and smooths the skin.  I use as a finishing spray, as a toner and as a treatment serum.  It is amazingly refreshing, helps my makeup last longer in sweaty Sydney and is part of my bedtime ritual.  I love it!  If it is good enough for Victoria Beckham, it is good enough for me.
