I like to create a theme around my week in photos, but this week has just been peculiar. So peculiar that no theme was self evident. Well, at least not one that didn’t make me sound like a total nutter anyway. I’m sharing photos from every day this week and calling it Every Day Kimba.
Every Day Kimba | A Week in the Life
Monday | Vet visit with Mr Bunsy. Very sadly, we talked about his life management plan. He’s approximately 95 years old in the equivalent of bunny years so is now in palliative care. Such a difficult time. So I did what I do best in times of stress and reorganised my workspace.
Tuesday | Not my usual Tuesday. I was a model. Yes, I’m serious. I was asked to be part of The Perfect LBD personal image branding photoshoot. So much fun. Please note the image is credited to Zahrina Photography. I didn’t manage to take many photos as I was too busy being, you know, a model. Expecting a call from Australia’s Next Top Middle Aged Model any day now.
Wednesday | After overhearing the living will discussions at the vet, Mr Bunsy has decided he is a party animal and is happily freeranging again. Gods love him, the little smoosh. The fine balance between keeping him healthy and keeping him happy is keeping me very busy. Wednesday’s standout feature was rain so heavy I seriously expected to see an Ark floating down my street.
Thursday | A bit of a tough day after a minor car accident in the morning. Before soldiering on to attend the media launch for Life’s Little Treasures Foundation The Big Splash event. All OK but can I just say it is not nice having a panic attack in the street and having to call the police. The images are of the gorgeous retro cute rocket at Enmore and a medicinal glass of Champagne.
Friday | Training it to the dentist for root canal. Amusing myself by working out the last time I caught a train was in August 2010 in Kuala Lumpur. A medicinal milkshake was prescribed by Dr Kimba – as much for the pain to the hip pocket as to the mouth. In the process, I discovered this delightful wall of vintage-inspired travel art in a local greasy spoon.
Saturday | A family bike ride and the Newington Armory Tower of Terror at Sydney Olympic Park, after the delight of a Saturday morning sleep in. Of course, I was awake by 6.30 am, so I enjoyed myself greatly watching a couple of episodes of The Shield. A gritty start to my morning!
Sunday | Another day, another park. It’s the weekend after all. How’s the serenity of Centennial Park? So pretty. We fed the ducks, geese, pukeko, moorhens, swans, doves, turtles, carp, eels and other random duckery I am unable to name. As well as a Boyo who was unable to resist the lure of fresh white bread, bought especially for the ducks. Home to consider some weeding. You’ll be delighted to know reading won out. Well, to be perfectly honest, the lure of the sofa and an imminent post procedure tooth infection won out.
I had a week that was a little bit weird, to say the least. Gods, I hope yours was better!
