Myer Christmas Giftorium

Kimba Likes Myer Christmas GiftoriumI’m more than a little bit in love with Christmas.  What’s not to love? You get to eat your favourite foods with your favourite people.  Almost everyone gets a holiday.  The weather is summer at its best (well, keep your fingers crossed.  It’s rained the last two Christmas Days in Sydney!).  You get the thrill of watching people you adore open carefully selected gifts – plus YOU get gifts too!

We are not a religious family so Christmas is a Family Festival of Love for us.  A couple of days where we just hang out and enjoy each others’ company, plus catch up with friends.  Having no family in the country means we always host Christmas and get to set the menu.  No issues with designated drivers either!

One of my uber favourite moments about Christmas? Well, yes, I do like receiving gifts.  But what I love even more is going shopping and choosing gifts for the people I love.

This year, I’m loving it even more.  I was invited to the launch of the spectacular Myer Christmas Giftorium and was spoilt rotten!

Myer Christmas Giftorium

Oh Em Gee.  I visited Myer Sydney City, the flagship Myer in Sydney, where the entire sixth floor has been turned into a Christmas wonderland.

Shortly, you will be able to find Santa Claus up there, making it even more magical.  There is a Myer Christmas Giftorium in each and every Myer store – all 67 of them.

The Myer Christmas Giftorium is stuffed to the gunwales with the most amazing Christmas shopping experience I’ve ever had.  I’m serious.  There are fabulously costumed greeters and helpers on each store level.  It gets betterer when you reach the magical enclaves of the Myer Christmas Giftorium.

There are expertly trained Gifticians – personal shoppers – and Producticians – product demonstrators, who work together to bring you a Personal Shopping Service par excellence.

The four flagship city stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth have pop up stores from Benefit, Bonds, Fossil, R&A Leather, Dilmah Teas, Vista Print, Kikkerland, Mr Men and Little Miss.  Some of the pop ups offer exclusive gifts and personalised presents you can’t get anywhere else in Australia.  Like fab Benefit Christmas gift packs, personalised Mr Men and Little Miss posters and embossed leather goods from R&A Leather.

Always wondered about Vista Print but not quite sure? Now you can see and touch samples and even upload your images to create personalised gifts in store.

Myer Christmas Giftorium | 8 November

On Saturday 8 November, the official launch of Myer Christmas Giftorium kicks off.  There will be performances from star performers, and everyone’s favourite Christmas dude, Santa Claus, will be in store for Santa photos and to find out whether you’ve been naughty or nice.

Every weekend, and on selected key dates, Myer Christmas Giftorium will be the place to take the family, with activities such as kid’s face painting, balloon artists, Christmas decorating demonstrations, children’s Christmas book readings, cartoon character appearances and musical performances.

Myer Christmas Giftorium | online

There are quite a few things to get excited about when it comes to the Myer Christmas Giftorium, but one of my favourites has to be online Santa bookings. Yes!  From 8 November, you can book a time to meet Santa, available at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Pacific Fair and Hobart.  Santa is visiting the other stores too – you can line up for your turn.

Myer Christmas Giftorium | 12 Themes of Christmas

The Myer Christmas Giftorium is set up to make shopping a breeze.  I was impressed by the gift suggestions put together for the various people most people need to buy pressies for.  Playing on the Twelve Days of Christmas song, you can now shop til you drop with the 12 Themes of Christmas at Myer Christmas Giftorium.

  • Dapper Dad – the patriarch, old man, daddy dearest
  • Miracle Mum – the woman who usually sorts Christmas out for everyone, the matriarch, mama

I thought the Perth launch was pretty fab but looking at this ours was more low key.

I’ve relaxed my no talk of Xmas till December rule this year and will be embracing the Xmas spirit in a big way in November and December.

Our twelve mystery prizes in December will be making a comeback. Your Likes, Loves and Lusts post for that campaign is definitely one of my favourites.ReplyCancel
