Newa Skin Rejuvenation System

Allow me to introduce you to the Homedics Newa Skin Rejuvenation System.  I attended the launch event in Melbourne recently, and received a Newa Skin Rejuvenation System valued at $499 as a gift.  I love being able to discover new products, brands and services to share with you.  I’m happy to be your guinea pig!

The Newa Skin Rejuvenation System is a nifty little gadget that reduces wrinkles naturally by reactivating your skin’s natural ability to produce collagen.  Collagen is what gives babies those plump and kissable cheeks – and as it decreases as we age, gives us fine lines and wrinkles on our facial skin.

The Newa device is powered by the same 3DEEP radio frequency technology used by leading dermatologists in professional clinics worldwide.  This technology powers the device to stimulate collagen production, by penetrating controlled energy deep into the skin tissue.  This results in lifted, plumper skin.  It is this fullness of the skin that leads to the up to 45% wrinkle reduction proven claims.

Now what does that all actually mean?

Firstly, let’s talk about collagen.  Collagen is a protein building block throughout your body. It is the fibrous network holding all your parts and pieces together.  Lack of collagen is what gives you sore joints, dry hair, loss of muscle tone … as well as facial wrinkles.

What the Newa device does is stimulate the production of new collagen deep within the facial skin tissue.

It’s not at all painful – in fact it feels like a hot towel massage.  Quite relaxing and soothing.  It’s not at all dangerous – just make sure you follow the simple instructions.  It’s simple to use, but important to follow the instructions.

I’m happy with my skin.  I’m 41 years old and I have both fine lines and wrinkles.  My major areas of concern are forehead lines (sadly, the Newa can’t help me here as the forehead is not collagen rich like the cheeks) and my collapsing jawline and sagging chin.  I also have some deepening of the marionette lines around my mouth and nose.  Perfect for the Newa to tackle.

I’ve stepped up my skincare regime over recent times, relying on more hi tech skincare ingredients like retinol, alpha hydroxy acids, hyaluronic acid and the like.  The thought of injectables like fillers and Botox,  or cosmetic surgery, terrifies me.  I’m not ruling out a spot of Botox between my brows one day – I’d hate to look like I’m grumpy when I’m actually happy!  That’s as far as I’m willing to go though.

I think of Newa’s 3DEEP radio frequency technology as falling somewhere in the middle of skincare and cosmetic injections.

How to use the Newa Skin Rejuvenation System

  1. Plug the device into an outlet
  2. Apply two “lines” of the Newa activator gel on the electrodes
  3. Spread this evenly over the active tip area
  4. Divide your face into six treatment areas.  Upper and lower cheek and under the chin on each side of the face.
  5. Power level to 2.  The LED will glow steadily.
  6. Press and release the power button to start energy delivery. The LED will blink.  The LED will turn green when it has reached the optimal skin temperature range.
  7. Work each area by moving the device in broad circles, ensuring the electrodes are in full skin contact at all times.
  8. The device will vibrate to indicate the end of the 4 minute treatment cycle.
  9. Repeat Newa activator gel application to the electrodes and work the next treatment area until all six have been completed.

For the first 4 weeks of usage, use the device 5 times a week.  Subsequently, use it twice a week as maintenance.

Newa Skin Rejuvenation System | after 15 days

Here’s my skin after 15 days of using the Newa Skin Rejuvenation System.  My cheeks are fuller, and I think my jawline looks a little more taut.  My skin feels softer to the touch, and skincare has applied more easily, which is an unexpected bonus.

I’m not sure if I’m really able to measure the percentage of wrinkle depth decrease, but overall, I think there is a visible improvement.

I have to confess, using the Newa device for 24 minutes daily for 5 days was initially quite taxing.  The Newa device is easy to use and is very pleasant.  I just don’t tend to sit still for 24 minutes at a time.  I made it work for me by deeming it to be reading time.  Newa device in one hand, Kindle in the other, and a cup of tea.  Perfect me time opportunity!

In another fortnight or so, I’ll share some images of my skin after a few more weeks usage. If you have any questions, I’ll answer them for you too.

What do you think of the Newa?  Intrigued?  Something you’d be interested in trying?  Can you see an improvement in my skin?

Looks interesting. I’ve been trying an in-salon treatment and have had great results but it would be nice to find something I could do myself at home. I’m wondering if this would also work on my neck and chest. I often neglect these areas and it’s really starting to show.ReplyCancel
