Sinnamon : Indulgent Handmade Biscuits

Let me introduce you to Sinnamon – indulgent handmade biscuits available at the Newcastle Farmers Markets, and for special orders via email.  If you are within several hours’ drive, I urge you to get yourself there and get your hands on some of these truly scrumptious delights!

Sinnamon is Tiffany and Sandra, two mamas living in Newcastle who love to get their bake on.  They handmake and sell indulgent biscuits and macarons.  Not only does their range include modern adaptations of old favourites, but they feature their own amazeballs creations too.

One day Sandra ordered a biscuit to go with her coffee in a cafe.  The typical oversized, dry and flavourless biscuit that you find in so many cafes.  For Sandra, it was an “I can do better than that” moment!  Sandra took her idea of making and selling quality biscuits to their Mother’s Group, and Tiffany said “count me in”.  The girls set about creating their own menu of recipes and flavours.  As you can imagine, there was no shortage of willing taste testers to help them perfect their recipes.

Shall I make you drool?  Their most popular biscuit flavour is Macadamia, White Chocolate and Cranberry.  Yum!  The most popular macaron flavour?  It’s a tie between Salted Caramel and Mars Bar.  Oh, my!

Sinnamon is now two and a  half years old, and currently sells only at the Newcastle Farmers Market, as well as providing special orders for weddings, birthdays and baby showers.  It would be worth getting married again, turning another year older, or even having a baby just to get these delights in your mouth.  Or maybe just drive to Newcastle – it might be easier!

There is nothing Sandra and Tiffany love more than watching a new customer’s face when they experience the delights of Sinnamon for the first time.

If you’re within driving distance of Newcastle, I suggest your organise your weekends around making sure you are at the Newcastle Farmers Market and queuing at the Sinnamon stand on Sunday 2, Sunday 16 and Sunday 23 December.

Find out the latest about Sinnamon on their blog, or you can like Sinnamon on Facebook.  Tell them I said hi!
