The quirky details

I do love me some quirky details when it comes to my outfits.  I’m sharing little style snippets – the quirky details.

If you’ve seen any of my everyday style shots on Instagram, you will be sick of the sight of these boots.  I simply adore them!  My back is so ridiculously sore at the moment that my shoerobe is severely reduced.  The quirky details – sweet “little girl” socks just peeking out of the gap between the boots and the cuffed jeans.  They’re floral with broderie anglaise ruffle detail.  Hello Sportsgirl.

The Welshman, freshly returned from a trip to South Africa, gave me this elephant scarf for my birthday.  A pop of colour is always a quirky detail I adore.  This outfit’s pop of colour is courtesy of my Metalicus Togo Tank in Manuka.  Rose gold sparkles on my Seed skater slips? Yes please.Kimba Likes the quirky details #fashionblogger #kimbalikes

I can’t tell you how much I love my Rollie derby shoes.  The comfort!  The softest of soft leather! Hello? The colour!  Much more interesting than a basic ballet flat.  Perfect for holidays too – light as a light thing for packing, and able to take hours of walking.

I’ve accessorised this outfit with two of my Australian favourites.  Jet Empire Jewellery and Erstwilder.  Who doesn’t love the quirky details of a necklace to jazz up an outfit? You’d be cray cray not to fall for the charms of Gilberta Galah.  She’s oh so chic in her pink and grey.Kimba Likes the quirky details #fashionblogger #kimbalikes

Oh look! It’s Those Boots again.  Couldn’t resist sharing this rather awkward shot – as it shows the gorgeous cocoon of my Three Parsons Cape Jacket.  Run don’t walk because there’s still a few left and they’re half price!  Click to shop

You might have noticed I’m rather fond of a hairbow – and I’ve fallen hard for Hound + The Hare topknots.  This one? It’s printed with milk and cookies.  I know right?!  $15 for adult sizes and it’s not just hair accessories either.  Cute as baby gear!  Check out more here

The good thing about having a small head? You can wear kid size hair accessories and hats!  I picked up this fun winter headband, complete with fur pom-pom, from Seed Kids.  It was perfect to play along with #Fursday with Redcliffe Style on Instagram.
