Toy Shopping Review : oo.com.au

Can you believe how close it is to Xmas?  It is close enough that you can count it in mere weeks.  SIX WEEKS!  Bearing that in mind, I was delighted when oo.com.au offered us the opportunity to choose some toys from their fabulous selection.  Boyo was even more delighted!

In the interests of keeping it real, this is not a sponsored post.  The shopping website oo.com.au offered us the opportunity to select toys to the value of $50.  Kimba Likes’ opinion cannot be bought.

Boyo checked out the website and set his heart on a Wave Scooter.  It’s a cross between a scooter and a skateboard, with a 360 degree rear castor wheel, which provides loads of fun pulling such cool tricks as drifting and carving.  It operates via a torsion self-propelling technology, which means it whips side to side.

As Boyo is currently learning how to skateboard, this is a great intermediate step, to get him used to moving his body in different directions to get the board to move in the direction he wants to go.

For the safety-conscious amongst us, ie, the parental units, it is rated to 60kgs and has an integrated grip tape deck so their feet don’t slip off mid-trick.  It folds for easy travel, and is suitable for kids aged 5 years and up.  Please be aware that there is no footbrake like many other brands of scooters.

At only $29.95, it was an absolute bargain and we added it to the cart quick smart!

Check out Boyo learning to ride his Wave Scooter.  We found that getting him a good start on a smooth surface with a slight incline, with some soft grass at the end of the incline for a safe crash landing spot, worked best for him.  Note to self – check the grass for doggy doo first!

As Boyo is a big huge Pokemon fan, we added a Pokemon DVD to the cart as well.  Unfortunately, I am not the biggest Pokemon fan and I have to confess that if I never see this movie again, I would be quite thrilled.  However, Boyo absolutely loves it and as all Mamas know, what makes your darling happy (and keeps them entertained for 90 minutes or so) makes us happy too.

The ordering process was painless and easy – once you’ve decided what to actually buy from the huge selection, that is –  and delivery was super quick.  The products arrived in two separate parcels, which actually added to the excitement in our household.

We’ve been very happy with the excellent service and value for money provided by the Toy Department of oo.com.au.  Boyo would like to highly recommend the Wave Scooter as loads of fun and thinks everyone should put on on their Xmas lists!

    Shocking service.

I bought a bike from them for my nephew birthday.
The bike was supposed to be delivered after 2 days. After 3 days the bike were
still not delivered. When I contact OO, they advise me that I SHOULD CONTCT the
    delivery company!!!

I did. Got a rude response from them that left me with no
option but to call OO again. OO answer was that they happy to refund my money
back minus handle and repack!!! Until today (12 days after I paid for the bike)
I still didn’t get me money back and OO doesn’t response to my emails or phone
    messages.

I had to buy a new bike on eBay (found the exact same bike
    $20 cheaper).

I have now passed this case to ACCC to get me my money back.ReplyCancel

Wave scooter sounds like a great alternative to a skateboard actually. A skateboard you can hold on to. Must be safer, right?

Huge Pokemon fans in this house (as you know!) We do have that DVD, and a few others. I think the boys will get another of the TV series on DVD for Christmas.ReplyCancel

I haven’t really used them before, but I couldn’t believe how much awesome stuff was on the site. Danger!

Well, not sure it’s entirely safer – there is the no brake to consider – but I think because it feels more familiar, like a scooter, then it gets them over the line.

Thank you so much for the Pokemon pillow pet – what a top comp to win! I’m being mean and keeping it for Xmas!ReplyCancel
