Wardrobe Wednesday | Bohemian Traders Freedom Skirt

Wardrobe Wednesday

Welcome to Wardrobe Wednesday!  I’m delighted and honoured to be taking over the hosting duties from Kelly at Kiwi Womens Style.  Every Wednesday, you are invited to share a fashion post with the Wardrobe Wednesday Glam Squad.  Anything you like as long as it is fashion related.

Share an outfit you loved and tell us why it made you feel so fabulous.  Perhaps share a favourite piece that you’ve styled for different occasions.  One piece styled several different ways.  Perhaps be brave and share the story of a piece you just can’t make work – the Wardrobe Wednesday Glam Squad may just be able to offer some suggestions!

If you’re playing along with Nikki at Styling You for #everydaystyle, you are very welcome to join in the Wardrobe Wednesday fun.  Wardrobe Wednesday is all about sharing fashion inspiration – we love everyday style just as much as we love date night glamour.

What I Wore | Bohemian Traders Freedom Skirt

Have you discovered the boho chic treasure chest that is Bohemian Traders?  My lovely friend Emily from The Beetleshack has opened a fabulous online boutique, stocking a carefully edited range of eclectic vintage embellished, embroidered, printed and trimmed gorgeousness.

My wardrobe is home to some special Bohemian Traders pieces, including the delightful Freedom Skirt I’m wearing.

As too much boho chic is never enough, the fabulous Falling Flowers Kimono arrived in the same beautifully polka dotted parcel.

For a movie date with the Blokefolk, I teamed a tangerine Country Road silk layered tank with my Bohemian Traders Freedom Skirt, tamed my tresses with a pair of rose gold sparkly Forever New hairpins and accessorised with a Ruby Olive Mela necklace and bangle, and my beloved Mimco Jalabee watch.

Ziera two tone tan wedge sandals kept me cool and comfy, and my Kate Spade Moroccan Basket tote in Turquoise / Flame aided that endeavour by smuggling my Typo one litre water bottle into the theatre.

Just quietly, if you haven’t been dragged by your offspring to view Free Birds yet, resist. Strongly. So bad even Boyo agreed it was a bit lame.  Bit unfortunate that a movie about turkeys was, ahem, a turkey.

Sharing daily outfit photos all over the social media landscape by participating in #everydaystyle with Nikki from Styling You has meant that I try not to be too lazy and duplicate a successful outfit again and again … but this skirt was just so cool and comfortable, that I couldn’t resist.

For the skirt’s next outing, Boyo and I had a day running errands.  We had to take Mr Bunsy, our poorly little dwarf rabbit to the vet and I needed some colour to cheer me up.  I teamed Lime Crime Velvetine lip colour in Suedeberry – the most gorgeous velvet matte finish – with an embroidered Mimco hairclip and citrus toned Ruby Olive earrings.  My Bohemian Traders Knotted Yarn Sunburst necklace layered beautifully with an embellished embroidered cord necklace from Bella Emporio.

Different day, same outfit.  I just switched my silk tank for a linen blend Seed Femme flowing tank.  The pintucks under the bust with the curved hemline make this a very flattering top.  I usually wear it over a tube skirt or the infamous Condom Dress, but I like the effect it creates layered over the fullness of the Bohemian Traders Freedom Skirt.

Just in case you were wondering, there was no need to be sad about the vet visit.  Mr Bunsy is a little old man with arthritis and a kidney condition.  Switching him to a one level hutch, daily anti-inflammatory medicine, and making extra sure he is eating well will ensure he has a happy retirement.  Bless his little fluffy tail.

You know…it’s unfair that I’m dead broke when she released her freedom skirt and then kept on sharing that particular skirt I oh so love…the one with the leaf print on white background. Sigh….Next time!ReplyCancel
