Cute Gumboots | Wardrobe Wednesday

I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan of rain, except when I’m tucked up cosily inside on the Lady Sofa with a pot of tea, and watching my garden greedily drinking it all in.

Now that I’ve found these adorable Mambo for Big W Rainboots, I think I might actually be looking forward to a rainy day if I can wear such cute gumboots!

PS – Run don’t walk to nab these babies online.  They’re on sale for $17 down from $29.  It’s a sign from the Fashion Gods.  It’s also pouring with rain as I’m writing.  Seriously, how much more of a sign do you need?

I love the word “gumboots” :). We call them rain boots in the US, but gum boots is so much better :). Now that I live in Phoenix, where it rains 3xs a year, I don’t even remember what rain looks like. It’s like snow and we all get excited about it.ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie - 5 May 2014 - 1.47 pm

We get a lot of rain in Sydney – and always at pick up and drop off time for school!

Rainboots is cute. My English family call them Wellington boots, or wellies. That’s cute too!ReplyCancel

I might have to wear gumboots when watching the boys play their sport in the rain! I can just see you getting around in those boots.. great style combo’s to dress up gum boots.ReplyCancel

  • Naomi @ (Not) Just A Mummy - 30 April 2014 - 2.05 pm

I LOOOOOVE my Hunter wellies. I like to imagine I;m in something like ‘Downton Abbey’ strolling across green fields with a spaniel by my side (in reality, I’m stomping along a suburban street with a lunatic staffy and a toddler in a Smart Trike). Definite winter essential though, especially with skinny jeans tucked in and a snuggly knitReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie - 5 May 2014 - 1.54 pm

Love to think of you striding through Downtown Abbey. You do have the perfect English Rose complexion xReplyCancel

Love a bit of gum boot action. Reminds me of winter school runs in the UK. Love the way you style a gum boot Kimba!ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie - 5 May 2014 - 1.51 pm

Thank you petal. I always find that if it does rain, it will rain at school pick up and / or drop off time. How rude!ReplyCancel

  • B - 30 April 2014 - 11.08 am

I own some gumboots… they are not nearly as stylish as these ones though! However, I do not think I will be wearing them in public any time soon…. (Just watch, within a week I will be eating my words!!)ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie - 5 May 2014 - 1.52 pm

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a Rivers. Must give it a go. Yup, a sign from the fashion gods!ReplyCancel

  • Lauren Moore - 30 April 2014 - 7.23 am

I love gumboots! When you have a preschooler who is a puddle magnet, not to mention surface flooding galore in Christchurch at the moment, gumboots are a necessity. These ones are a bargain, and I love the length!ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie - 5 May 2014 - 1.53 pm

I was just in Christchurch last week. Man oh man, what a lot of rain! The ground is so wet that nothing more will soak in. They keep talking about pumping it into the river. Dudes, how full is the river already?!ReplyCancel

  • Vicki - 30 April 2014 - 7.01 am

I love every fabulous combination here. I just may have to get those gumboots.ReplyCancel

  • Mystery Case - 30 April 2014 - 6.29 am

I have that Jessica Bratich Bag. It is sitting here waiting for me to start packing for our trip back to NSW next week. I’m not sure why or where I would wear the gumboots but they look oddly appealing.ReplyCancel

    • Kim-Marie - 5 May 2014 - 1.49 pm

I think it’s the two tone colour, Mystery Case! The price is appealing too 😉ReplyCancel
