What I Wore : Brown Sugar Hampton Pants

I’m very honoured to be a Brown Sugar Brand Ambassador – an iconic Australian company that is suited perfectly to my lifestyle.  For a very busy day running last minute Xmas errands, I needed a casual comfortable outfit, and these Brown Sugar Hampton pants were the perfect choice.

The Brown Sugar Hampton Pants are 97% cotton with 3% elastane for a comfortable and flattering fit.  They are described as a three quarter pant, and are definitely shorter than the Sateen Parker Printed Pants, which are also described as three quarter pants.  I have to say that I’m not a fan of three quarter pants.  They often run the risk of making the wearer look mumsy and shorter and wider.  I think we’ll agree that is not the look we’re going for!

However, as the Hampton Pants are tapered towards the bottom and feature a sewn flat cuff, they are considerably more flattering than the usual wide-legged three quarter pant.  They have a retro cute vibe about them, with the adorable bow belt and feature belt loops.  The styling is very flattering, and they have a definite slimming appearance to them.

I’ve styled the Hampton Pants in fabulously fresh orange with a blue printed Country Road silk tank and Django & Juliette white leather flats.  I’ve accessorised with fun Witchery beaded and fabric earrings, which pick up the orange of the pants and the acid yellow  of my Mimco hairband.

The Hampton Pants retail for $69.95 and are also available in Sage, Black and Canvas colours.

What do you think about three quarter pants?  I’ll still never ever recommend a pair of wide-legged ones, but I’ve had to eat my words a little, as I’m really loving the retro cute Hampton Pants by Brown Sugar.

In the interests of keeping it real, I am a Brown Sugar Brand Ambassador, which means I receive discounted and gifted items, as well as payment.  However, Kimba Likes Brown Sugar, or I would not have agreed to work with this brand. You can trust Kimba Likes to keep it real!

I love this! I do love a 3/4 pant because my legs are short and they usually don’t require taking up. I grew up with a mother who would do all our alterations, but she could never get pants the same length! If they are not the totally perfect length in store, then I don’t buy them. Still shudder at the way my mother ‘altered’ my favourite/expensive/beautiful worky pants…ReplyCancel

I agree with you about the 3/4 pants but I would totally wear these. I love that colour. Rachel xReplyCancel
